He opened the door & asked “Who are you? Are you from the IRS?” Jimmy started laughing “Were not from the IRS, my Mommy is your best friend.” This just confused poor James, so Butch explained further “Remember us from Team Rocket, Jessie & Butch?” “Oh” he was as surprised as I was when I recognized Butch, “Come in, please.”
I don’t think he knew what to say, he looked kind of frightened. I started by introducing him to my son. He wasn’t saying much, so I had to lead the conversation. I told him how we came from Fuchsia just to see him. James hung his head down & started crying.
I put my hand on his shoulder “James, it’s okay. What’s wrong?” He kept sobbing, but he explained as much as he could, “I never knew where you were. I missed you so much, Jess.” He wiped his eyes with his shirt “I’m being an idiot, aren’t I ?” I smiled at him, and said “I felt the same way about you. I’m glad I found you, & I don’t think you’re an idiot.” That seemed to make him feel a lot better. He smiled at me & asked “What have you been doing?”
I told him about how Butch & me were reintroduced, & how we missed our old friends & wanted to see them. He looked over at Jimmy, who was asleep at the corner of the couch & asked “Who's his father?” I retold the story about William & Tiffany to James, & Butch told him about going broke & losing Cassidy.The conversation went to Cassidy, & I remembered that we had her number. James was just as eager as the rest of us to talk to her, so we turned on the speaker phone & dialed.
Cassidy was so chipper. We talked for hours. By the time I arranged a date for her & her Pokemon to come over it must have been 4:00. I was slowly arranging a time for all of us to get together at my house. I knew that Butch could make it, he didn’t have anywhere else to go. James was glad to have a reason to use some vacation time, he had been alone, & hadn’t used any, unless he was sick. Cassidy arranged her schedule so that she could come, & now I had to find Meowth.
I realized how late it was & decided to get back to the Crystal Onix. I hugged James & told him I’d be back the next morning to begin the search for Meowth. I picked up Jimmy & Butch followed me back to the hotel.
