The second movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back, is really good! It's about Mew's clone, Mewtwo and he is questioning is life and why he was created. Mewtwo didn't want to be a slave to humans. He breaks out of the lab and meets Giovanni. Giovanni tells Mewtwo that they will be partners. Mewtwo gets armor put on him, and learns to control his powers. One day, Mewtwo finds out that it was Giovanni who cloned him. Mewtwo destroys Giovanni's headquarters and flys off. Mewtwo then decided to rid the world of humans and have the clones of Pokemon take over the world. Mewtwo sends invitations to trainers to battle him and of course Ash gets one.
At the sea port, a storm comes and Officer Jenny doesn't allow anyone to go. A few trainers don't listen to her. They ride on their Pokemon. A lady says that going through the storm is just another challenge for the trainers and that they will be the ones to become Pokemon masters. Ash hears this and he wants to get across but doesn't have any Pokemon that are strong enough. A Viking boat comes along and gives Ash a ride.(The Vikings are, of course, Jessie and James) During the boat ride their disguises get washed away and the boat overturns. Ash, Misty, and Brock ride out the storm and arrive at New Island(where Mewtwo lives) Team Rocket also gets washed up on New Island.
The trainers meet Mewtwo and try to fight him but fail. Mewtwo captures all their Pokemon and makes clones of them. Team Rocket breaks into the lab and learns all about how Mewtwo was created and about cloning. Meowth also gets cloned. Then, the clones come out and start fighting their original. Mew comes and battles with Mewtwo. During the battle Ash tries to stop them, but gets turned into stone.(I have no idea why) Pikachu shocks him many times but nothing happens. Everyone starts crying and their tears bring Ash back to life.(This part makes no sense) Mewtwo sees the strong bond between Ash and Pikachu and decides to go with Mew to a place where he could find the strong relationship between humans and Pokemon. The lab gets destroyed. Ash, his friends, and the other trainers get sent back but don't remember anything that happened. Team Rocket is still on the island and they start talking about the great time they're going to have alone on the island. Alone?? Hmmm......
The movie really made me think about life and the reasons of living. (I'm putting WAY too much thought into this movie...) Some parts were sad, like when the clones and originals were fighting. A really sad song about why they were fighting was playing. Team Rocket watched them fight. I thought this part was funny.
James:I was prepared for trouble but not this.
Jessie:Make that double
James:This just shows that even the best friends will fight.
(James looks at Jessie)
James:I promise never to fight with you if you do!!!
Jess & James: Oh Jessie/James!!!!
(Both of them hug and start crying.)
There was a lot of Rocketshippy parts in the movie!!
The first Rocketshippy part is when they're trying to stop the Dragonite and James is pushing against Jessie. Then they're trying to pull Meowth from the cloning machine and Jessie grabs onto James' legs. Soon after, they're watching the Pokemon wake up and they hug in fear. Later on, they see the Pokeballs being transported and they have their arms around each other. Then they watch as the real Pokemon appear and they move closer to each other. While the Pokemon and their clones fight, Jessie and James get all sad and they hug each other, crying. It's so sweet!!!
Basically it was an okay movie but Team Rocket should've been in it more.
