Jessica:
1. God's Grace
2. Woman of wealth
3. He beholds
4. God sees not he beholds though they are close
Okay, the second meaning doesn't really make sense because we all know Jessie grew up poor. But then, maybe she grows up to be rich... Afterall, if she does end up marrying James and James' parents die, then he's the heir. Now let's think about definition #3, "He beholds". Who is this "he"?
James:
1. Supplanter
2. Conqueror
Conqueror kinda seems to describe James. If he wanted he could be a really good conqueror. At first I had no idea what a supplanter was so I looked it up and wanna know what it said? A person who takes the place of and serves as a substitute especially by reason of superior excellence or power. Seeing as Jessie never had a real friend until James, he could be the one who makes her life better.
Cassidy:
1. Clever
2. Descendent of Caiside
Clever seems to describe her. She's the brains behind the other Team Rocket. But who's Caiside.
Butch:
1. Butcher
No sense at all. But then his voice is pretty butchering.
Giovanni:
1. God is gracious
Team Rocket is a huge criminal organization, granting Giovanni lots of wealth and infamy.
Ashton:
1. Ash tree settlement
2. Ash enclosure
So...Ash is a tree? ^_^ I'm sure we all knew that!!
Misty:
1. Covered with mist
Makes sense. Water, Misty, covered with mist. Describes her perfectly. Whoo-hoo.
Brock:
1. Badger
LOL, badger! Do badgers have eyes?
Tracey:
1. Brave
Um...I don't know. I've only seen Tracey a few times so far. I guess he was brave when he went up to observe the pink Rhyhorn (Rhydon?) on Pinkin Island. And he's usually the one who likes going exploring and stuff.
Info on the names, Kojiro (James), Musashi (Jessie) and Rumika (Jezebel):
Kojiro, in Chinese, means 'master of love; one who attracts women of Satan' LOL!! And of course we all know who this Satan girl is, don't we?? (NOT Jessie, mind you!!)
Rumika, in Japanese, means 'theif of hearts; battler with the sky angel Masashi' Masashi sounds like Musashi (doesn't it?)
And since Masashi sounds so much like Musashi, we'll do the meaning of it. Masashi, in Japanese, means 'sky angel; destroyer of the Satan prostitute, Rumika; princess of the clouds' AND in Chinese, it means 'dancer of the wind, AND, get this, wife of King Kojiro!!!'
Think about this for a minute. What a coincedence?? Anyway, thanks to Sunaru the Rocket Scout for all this info!!
Musashi Miyamoto was Japan's greatest Samurai & Kojiro Sasaki was his rival. Musashi, regrettedly killed Sasaki on Ganryu Island after Sasaki challenged Musashi. Musashi was not happy with his victory because Sasaki was one of the country's best with his own sword move named after the swallow's tail (swallow tail cut) and because of that Musashi admired Sasaki for his skill.
Thanks to CrownBus25@aol.com for this info!!
And of course, we can't forget Jesse James and Butch Cassidy.
They are who Jessie, James, Cassidy, and Butch were named after. (you probably figured that out already)
They were two really famous American outlaws back a long time ago. I went to some Criminals Hall of Fame place and saw them there, wax figures and all. And I have to admit...they didn't look as dorky as I thought they would. They looked pretty cool, pretty evil... Of course, that Criminals Hall of Fame place was sort of spooky.
^_^ Team Rocket would be proud to be named after them!!
