Authors Note: This is a twerp fic, so run for your lives!! Team Rocket is not mentioned once, and this is a WYDS from the first episode, from Pikachu’s POV. Probably the best fic I’ve done, though it has no humor in it. I NEED feedback!! Blueeyesgal99@aol.com please!!!!

Now I’ve never been one for captivity. I’ve always enjoyed the fresh air, and freedom. And love. Love. Something I’ve been deprived of since my first master. Joshua, that was his name. I can still remember the day I met him, the day I store into his deep, caring, blue eyes. The day I was heart broken. Joshua moved a week after I met him, leaving me cold and hungry on the streets. I was a street rat (get it? hehehe...he..eh. forget it), and no one paid me a second glance. Until he showed up. An aged man, with a caring spirit. He took me in, treated me with respect and love. I was beginning to trust people again, especially the kind old man.
How could I have been so blind? This human was no different! Just as I gave him my trust, he places me in a poke-ball intending to give me to some stupid, heartless, bratty child. I will not stand for this. I will not. No human will treat me bad again. I swear it.
So now as I can hear the voices of the man and a young boy, I think that I shall not go. I will not go with this stranger. The boy’s excited voice is directed toward my prison, my cage, my home.
“Oh I’ll take it!” I can hear the eager boy’s voice cry in joy. But he shall not have me; I will not go.
A hand is now hovering over my ball. But I won’t go through with this!! Just as I prepare myself to shock, a blazing light blinds my furious eyes. Light. Something I’ve not seen for a long time.
The world’s black curtain is lifted from my eyes, and a young boy in pajamas is smiling happily at my appearance.
“Oh it’s so cute it’s the best of all!” the boy cries, flinging his thin arms around my quavering form.
I will not go. Anger wells up in my small body, and I release a shock of zapping energy towards my new master.
The room I call home filled with electricity, causing the two humans to scream in pain.
The man I once trusted gave the strange boy some equipment, and then I am hauled against my will out the door.
The boy tightens his grip on me as I struggle to break free. I will not go!! Doesn’t this boy understand? Doesn’t anyone understand??!! No. No, they don’t. They can’t, they’re humans. And I will not go with them!!
The boy rushes out the door, still holding me tight to his chest. A small group of people are gathered around the driveway, banging pots and holding banners.
A woman with light brown hair and eyes walks up to my master.
“Oh Ash!” she mutters, trying to hold back the tears of pride.
The boy places me on the ground to look at the woman. I feel like running, but I am surrounded by people. I decide to stay until the crowd leaves.
Her face brightened suddenly. The woman hands my master a backpack, filled with human things.
Then she notices me. Frowning, the woman stared at me. “I thought pokémon stayed in there pokéball?!” she wondered.
The boy, Ash was his name I believe, grinned sheepishly. “Oh, right!” Ash dug into his pocket and pulled out a ball.
Tossing it at me, I panic. NO ONE will EVER place me in a ball, a prison, ever again. NO ONE!! Angry, I slam the ball back towards my cruel master.
Ash scowls, and tosses the ball back toward me. We continue like that, for several moments.
The woman laughs. “Oh how cute!! Your playing catch! Your friends already!!”
Friends?! I think not. Apparently, Ash agrees.
“Yeah! With Pikachu by my side, I’ll become a pokemon master!” Ash cries triumphantly.
You wish, I thought.
Furious, I proceed to shock this head strong boy. The sparks carry throughout the crowd, and they cry out in shock.
~*~*~*~
A few moments later, a fried Ash is tying me with a rope. A rope. More like a leash. Ash still won’t give up, I simply can’t understand it. I know now that I hate this boy, and I will never do what he commands.
But Ash thinks differently. Stupid boy, doesn’t he get it? You can’t gain trust by dragging along your pokemon.
I glance up at him, looking for his facial features. His eyes are upset and determined, and his shoulders are hunched up to his chin.
I again try to prevent going with him, by placing my feet firmly on the dirt floor.
Sighing, the boy stops. He leans down in frustration.
“Pikachu, why won’t you listen to me and get in the ball?!”
I simply turn my head away. This master needs a clue.
“Is it because you don’t like me?” He asks angrily.
Bingo! The boy wins!! I nod my furry head.
“Well I like you a lot!” Ash protested.
Yeah right!
“Your supposed to be in the ball!” He shouted. “Here, look!”
The boy called Ash pushes a button on the device the old man gave him.
“When being trained, Pokémon usually stay in a Pokéball.” An activated voice says.
“See?” Ash said with a proud grin.
Stupid boy. Angry, I hop up and hit a button next to the one the boy just pushed.
“However, there are many exceptions. Some pokemon hate being confined.” The voice says again.
There. Beat that Mr. Wanna be Pokemon Master!
Smiling, Ash unties my leash, and removes his rubber gloves.
“Is that better?” the boy asks softly.
No. I stick my nose in the air. The boy can’t understand me.
Becoming angry, Ash just gives me a look.
“Fine! Be like that!” He shouts.
Suddenly, a peaceful flapping can be heard from above.
Ash immediately becomes joyful. “Oh wow! It’s a Pidgey!”
A Pidgey. A Pidgey?! This idiot was going to catch a Pidgey. This I had to see.
Grinning, Ash whirls toward me. “Go get him Pikachu!!”
Not again! How many times must I imply this?! I will not go!!
Smiling smugly to myself, I turn my back and prance up the nearest tree, placing myself on a branch where I can get the best view of this amusing “catch”.
“Fine! I don’t need your help!! I can get this pokemon all by myself!” Ash cries in complete confident.
This will be fun, I think. Watching him make vain attempts to catch the Pidgey. It begins to dawn on me I will go. I have to, I have no choice. Besides, this was more exciting than sitting in a lab all day.
“I’ll get you now!!” Ash yelled at the Pidgey. Leaning down, Ash scoops up a stone. Flinging it at the shape of a Pidgey, it makes contact. I must say that I’m a bit surprised. The stupid boy doesn’t look too athletic. As I peer closely at Ash’s target, I understand something. That is no Pidgey!! Before I can hide, the so called Pidgey zooms at me to reveal to Ash that it’s really a Spearow.
Fury gleaming in its eyes, the enraged bird dashed at me in hopes to injure me.
Ducking, I hear Ash cry out to me.
“Pikachu watch out!”
I snap my head up in time to see the Spearows razor sharp beak aimed at my head. Frightened, I release a bolt of electricity, and it consumes the Spearow easily.
The Spearow drops to the ground, only to call out to a hundred other Spearows. I can hear their angry shrieks as they raise out of a nearby tree.
I know this is a dangerous situation. Hopping from the tree, Ash glances nervously down at me.
“Should we run?” He asks quickly.
I would think so! Racing ahead, I hear Ash’s footsteps running behind me.
“Wait Pikachu! Whatever happens, I’ll protect you!”
If only that were true. Scared, I run even more ahead.
“Pikachu! I said I’d pro-”
I can hear his voice stop as he cries out in pain. The Spearows are diving at him. I almost feel sorry, but as I turn my head to see if he is okay, the Spearows attack me, digging into my sore back.
I can feel myself slipping away, the world fading out.
The last thing I can remember is Ash’s plea to leave me alone, and the immense pain of a hundred Spearows nawing at my bleeding body.
~*~*~*~
Cold. I am very, very cold. And wet. Soaking wet. And I cannot breathe. Slowly opening my eyes, I can see that I am under the water, being tugged by the swift current. But strangely, I feel safe. A warm body is succured around my waist, and I know the body will not let go, not for a moment.
Suddenly, I can feel myself being hoisted out of the water softly, and Ash’s cry of surprise.
As we are tossed roughly to the ground, I feel myself slipping away again. I am now in a state of unconscious, where I can hear and feel, but not see or think clearly.
A girl’s voice shouts at someone to go get help.
I then can sense being lifted into a basket of some kind, and being jolted sharply around curves. I can still hear the girl screaming madly for us to come back, and about stealing her bike.
The Spearows are still there. I can hear their loud flapping of their wings, and their annoying screeches.
A fierce wind is picking up, and I can feel the cold rain hit my raw back. Lightening booms in the clouds, and thunder rumbles through the black world.
The Spearows are still hot on our trail, and I can hear Ash panting wildly for breath.
Suddenly, I am thrown across the air, and onto a hard rock. And the world is quiet.
I can hear, see, feel, nor sense nothing. My head is spinning, and I can feel my heart slowly, slowly, so slowly, cease. I am about to give up, to stop fighting the death I know is coming. No one cares for me, no one understands me. Not even myself. I have nothing to live for, no point of going on.
I gasp for my last breath, when I can hear a tearful plea.
“Pikachu, no. Please no!!”
A warm, safe, arm wraps around my body.
A sob escapes a child’s throat.
I open my eyes half way. And there he is.
Ash. My master. Crying for me.
Ash smiles happily when he sees my eyes flutter open.
Then he frowns in sheer determination. Jumping up, he outstretched his battered arms as if to save me.
The Spearows are coming closer, their bloody beaks gleaming. And I know he will not make it.
“Listen you! Do you know who I am? I am Ash Ketchum from the town of Pallet!! I will be a pokemon master someday, and I will capture and defeat you all!!” Ash screams.
And I suddenly realize. Realize everything. My heart suddenly mealts. Mealts with love. Love. My master. And I know it will not be long, only a matter of minutes until I die. But I will save my master.
The Spearows rear up and dive with all their might. Ash shuts his eyes and cries out in fear. But he must not fear anymore. For I will save him.
With my last burst of energy, I leap on to Ash’s shoulder, then into the sky. I plan to block them from getting to my master. But the plan backfires. As I jump up, a blast of lightning flashes down from above, and I can feel the powerful energy spread through my weak body.
But it’s too much. The power surges through my cheeks, realeasing a unstoppable shock of light and energy.
The clouds explode with lightning, killing all the Spearow. I can hear Ash’s scream of agony as it hits his body. But he will survive, I will not let him die. The storm and the lightning is too much, and a pillar of deadly shocks zoom up too the clouds, and I know its over, that I am finished.
~*~*~*~
A gentle light wakes me up. As I open my eyes, I am staring into his eyes. He has survived. Because of me. But I should have died!! What happened?! Ash smiles softly at me.
“Well, we beat ‘em.” Ash whispers.
I can only nod. My body is paralized, and I can feel nothing from the neck down.
Ash’s head snaps up toward the gorgeous sunrise.
“Wow! What pokemon is that?” He asks himself.
I painfully lift my head up. A graceful bird is soaring over the rainbow.
The device speaks. “Some pokemon have not been discovered yet.”
Ash smiles. “Not even discovered.....”
Then he turns to me. “Thank you Pikachu. You saved my life.”
And by the way he looks at me, I suddenly understand why I am here right now. Love. Ash’s love kept me from death. The love in my heart was enough to save myself and him. I know now what my purpose was. To be with Ash.
“Pikachu, please be okay! I’ll take you to a pokemon center.”
Yes. I will be okay. I will go through the surgery’s, the battles, the travels, the world, for you master. My friend, my master, my savior, my trainer. And I will do it only for you.... Only for you.
