The Boss’s office was dark & gloomy when Jessie, James & Meowth stepped in. They had been called earlier to see him. His voice yelled “You have failed me for the last time!” His face was covered by shadow, like everything in that room. “You will be reassigned partners by the end of the day.” He shouted. Meowth stood behind the other two to avoid getting yelled at directly. “Get out of my sight, I’ll see you next week!” His voice boomed.

“I can’t believe it.” James whined “we won’t be partners tomorrow.” “Shut up!” Jessie snapped, as if she didn’t care. “Who woulda thought dat dis would happen?” Meowth asked himself. “Stop Complaining!” Jessie commanded “you’ll be fine.” They walked down the hall & stopped in front of a room. The door was labeled “Test Area” they all walked inside.

A man handed each a stack of papers & a pen. “Fill them out they will determine your new partner.” he said. The three of them looked across the room & saw other Rocket members. They had also been disappointments to their leader. “Get going!” the man yelled, pushing them to a table. “Sit down & fill them out.” he explained.

Jessie seemed nervous, but worked at a good pace. She didn’t seem to have as much trouble as James. He was very upset about losing Jessie & couldn’t concentrate. Meowth figured it didn’t really matter how he did, because he wouldn’t be happy with any other group. He did his best anyway, in hopes that he might get assigned with Jessie or James.

When they were done, they went in the hall & waited. “Jessie” James said “I’m gonna miss you.” “Shut Up!” she yelled “I don’t want to hear it!” After an hour, they began to assign people together. Raticate became the mascot of Jessie & Cassidy. “Oh goody” Jessie says sarcastically “I get to be with Cassidy & the Rat.” James was grouped with Butch, with Meowth for their mascot. “Just my luck.” Butch complained.

They filed into a room to learn their new assignments. “I don’t want a new assignment, or a new partner, I want a second chance.” James whined. “No one cares what you think” Meowth told him. “I don’t want Botch as my partner” James continued “I want Jessie.” “I’m not Botch! And I don’t care!” Butch yelled. Jessie & Cassidy were assigned to get an Electrabuzz. James & Butch were told to catch a Charizard.

Jessie didn’t know where to find an Electrabuzz, but Cassidy sure seemed to. “I have an idea. You have to help me, but don’t screw it up.” Cassidy said to Jessie. “I never screw anything up, what are you talking about?” Jessie asked, but Cassidy was already mapping out her plan. “I know of a trainer with an Electrabuzz. We will find a way to steal it from her.” she said “It won’t be difficult, because with you here instead of Butch, I don’t have to do all the talking.”

Butch & James were already out, trying to find a Charizard. “Wait, doesn’t the Twerp have a Charizard?” James asked himself. “Yea, let’s get it from him!” Meowth said. “Sounds like a plan, I guess.” Butch said, not able to think of anything better for them to do. “It’s not like it takes a Rocket Scientist to steal a Pokemon from a baby.” Meowth said, putting two phrases together.

The two teams headed in different directions, ready to complete their new missions. They each started following the children that they were going to steal from. “Okay, when I give the signal, we go out & say the motto.” Cassidy said. “Uh, how are we going to say it?” Jessie questioned.

The boys had the same problem, but they didn’t think about it before they jumped out in front of Ash & Co. “Uh, prepare for trouble.” Meowth said, noticing their problem. “Make it double.” James added. “To protect the world from navigation.” Meowth said, unsure of Jessie’s lines. “To blight all peoples within our nation.” Butch said with confidence. “To something the evils of truth & love?” The cat guessed. “To extend our reach to the stars above.” James said, charmingly. “Meowth”, “James”, “Butch” they all said. “Team Rocket, blast off at da speed a light.”Meowth said, smiling. “Surrender to us now, or you will surely lose the fight.”Butch added. “That’s right.”Meowth & Butch said, leaving James out.

The girls had no better luck. While they were arguing over the plan, the female trainer found them. “Prepare for Trouble!” Jessie yelled. She looked at Cassidy & motioned for her to say the next part. “Double, double. Toil & trouble. Fire Burn & cauldron bubble.” She said, having no clue about James’s lines. “To protect the world from devastation.” Jessie smiled. “Infect!” Cassidy screamed. “To unite all peoples within our nation.”Jessie said in her ‘James voice’. “To denounce the evils!” Jessie shouted. “Of truth & love.”Cassidy sighed, rolling her eyes. “To extend our reach to the stars above.”Jessie said, holding a rose. “Jessie!”Jessie yelled. “Cassidy”Cassidy moaned. “Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!” Jessie’s voice rang out. “I can’t believe I let you do the motto!”Cassidy yelled. “Raticate!” their furry pal added, completing the last line.

“That was different”Brock said. “Yea.” Ash agreed. For once, Ash was right about something. “Get da Pika. . . Uh, I mean Charizard!” Meowth yelled, almost messing up. Ash & his friends looked were confused. “Don’t you mean Pikachu?” Ash asked. “No” Butch explained “we want the Charizard.” “Okay.” Ash said, still confused. “Go, Charizard!” “This is going to be easier than I thought.”Butch said. “Why would ya send out da Pokemon dat we’re gonna take?” Meowth asked. “Because, it’s better for the plot.” Misty explained.

“Go, Arbock!” Jessie yelled. “Go, Electrabuzz!” the young trainer said. “Don’t battle, take it!” Cassidy yelled, grabbing Jessie’s arm. “You can’t have my Pokemon, Team Rocket!” the girl screamed, wrapping her arms around Electrabuzz. “Jessie, you waste time with battles, just grab the Pokemon & let’s get out of here!” Cassidy said. “I don’t want to touch it.” Jessie replied. “Thundershock!” the girl yelled. “Look’s like we’re blasting off again!” Jessie yelled as the soared through the air.

“Go, Wheezing!” James yelled, pushing his hair out of his eyes. “Smoke screen!” he commanded. “You idiot!”Butch yelled. “What?”James asked, surprised & confused. “If it uses a flame attack, the gas will explode!” he shouted at James. “Flamethrower!” Ash said & Charizard blew fire in his face. The flame caught the gas anyway, & sent them flying through the air. “We’re blasting off again!”Meowth yelled. “Thanks to you!” Butch griped, giving James a cold glare.

Both Teams had a rough landing. Jessie & Cassy crashed through the roof of a van, & James & Butch broke through a building. The building & van were destroyed, but somehow, the Rockets were all fine. Since the seemed to be okay, the owners of the demolished items decided to give them a piece of mind. They yelled at them & explained an even bigger problem.

“What do you think you are doing?” the driver of the van yelled. “We fell.” Jessie yelled back. “Don’t you know that this is Team Rocket property?” he questioned. “So are we.” Jessie said, pointing to her shirt. “This was a van of supplies, it was going straight to the Boss!” the man yelled. “Now, when he asks who wrecked his van & ruined the cargo, who’s names shall I give him?” he asked, angrily. “Jessie & Cassidy.”Cassidy sighed.

“Get off of my back!” yelled the woman that James, Meowth, & Butch landed on. “You are part of Team Rocket? The Boss is going to hate this!” she said. “The Boss?”Meowth asked. “This was his lab, you morons!”She screamed, slamming Butch’s head into the wall. “It’s not like we could aim where we landed!” James yelled back. “Yea, we wuz fallin’, we didn’t mean to break your building.” Meowth added. The woman looked over at a beat up control panel & her eyes widened. “When you landed, you set off a time bomb!” she screamed at them. “So?” Meowth asked. “The Team Rocket casino is going to explode in 4 minutes!” she screamed.

Three cities over, at TR. Casino, “Hey” a man said. “what’s that flashing over there?” “It’s a bomb!” screamed an old woman. “Let’s get out of here!” a kid shouted. The people crowded out of the exits, & just as the last person jumped out the window, the place blew. A slot machine flew through the air & crashed into the TR. Antique & broke an antique cupboard filled with priceless China Dishes.

“What was that noise?” Cassidy asked turning to Jessie. “I don’t know.” she replied. “Look, fire! It’s the Boss’s casino, we better tell him.” They rushed to the nearest pay phone & dialed his number.

At the Boss’s office, he picks up the ringing phone. “Hello? he asks. “What? My casino? That costed me millions. No! Not the China Dishes! Whoever did this will pay. Hold on, I have a call on the other line. Hello? What do you mean they landed on the control panel? Yes, unfortunately my casino was destroyed! It was their fault? They are going to be so sorry! Hold on, I have another call. Hello? My Van? Not all of the Supplies! There was a suitcase filled with hundred dolor bills in the back! It contained 7 million dollars! Good Bye!

Both teams were called back to his office. When they arrived, the Boss was sitting at his desk with a stack of papers. “You have costed our organization millions!” The Boss’s voice yelled. “This has never happened before. When you had your old partners, you made mistakes, but nothing this expensive! You have left me no choice, but to give you your old partners & missions back.” And so he did.
