It is not the will of God for anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9). That is why it is extremely important for believers to become fishers of men and reel in the unsaved while there is still time to do so. When was the last time you invited an unsaved relative, friend or co-worker to your church? Many times Christians assume their invitations will be rejected, so they don't bother to extend them. However, inviting someone to church could be the nudge the person needs to make the decision to attend. Once the person is in the church, the Holy Spirit will minister to his or her spirit.
Remember, Jesus is depending on us to continue the work that He began. Therefore, look for daily opportunities to lead the lost to Him. If your invitation to attend church is rejected, you may be able to make the most of the opportunity and personally witness to the individual.
To witness effectively, memorize the following steps to salvation and the corresponding prayer, and then share it with those with who you come in contact.
- Recognize and admit that you are a sinner. (Psalm 51:5)
- Repent of your sins. (1 John 1:9)
- Confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior. (Romans 10:9-10)
Lord, I recognize and admit that I am a sinner. I turn away from my sins and confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus is Lord. Than You for saving me this day.
CONFESSIONS FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL
Satan has no power against a believer who has confidence in what God has said in His Word. Though wars and rumors of wars abound, you can stand in faith for the protection of the men and women who are serving our country. Confess these scriptures daily to cover our military personnel with prayer and protections:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift up our military personnel to You this day. I declare that they are under Psalm 91-safe and secure under the shadow of the Almighty. No weapon formed against them prospers, and they are shielded from all hurt, harm and danger because You hide them in the shadow of Your wings as they take refuge in You. Their enemies will be as nothing. Nothing takes them by surprise because they are made aware of all potential threats to their safety and the safety of those to whom they have been commissioned to protect. I thank You for Your saving grace and power, which is able to keep them safe and well-protected in the midst of hositle conditions. I declare that as they are sent into war-torn countries, they will be as shining lights-people who boldly share Your love and the good news of the Gospel with those they encounter. I thank You for their divine protection, in Jesus' name. Amen.
