The flash and wobble of spoons is also very attractive to fish --especially bass, pike, muskies and lake trout. Traditional spoons are cast and retrieved, or trolled around weed edges and a variety of other structures. Weedless spoons are fished right in heavy cover, mainly for bass and pike.

Fishing with spoons may not be a new idea, but the fish haven't lost their appetite for them.
