You will find species specific informaiton about the most popular freshwater and marine fish available and a few of the more exotic ones. This is not a scientically referenced guide, but is set up to assist even the most novice hobbyist to find information. Fish are catagorized in groups by commonly recognized names.

You can quickly search for a specific fish with the FISH FINDER, casually BROWSE through the many types of fish, or you can even DOWNLOAD fish pictures for your own personal use.

Fish List

We have just started gathering fish. This file will grow as time goes on. As catagories become more compete, we will be able to develop browser catagories. With the limited number of fish we currently have we thought it would be easier to list them all.

Fish Finder

For a quick search of the Fish File simply click on the Fish Finder button below.

You can search by families, by species, by common name, or by any point of fish information.

For example, you may have a community tank and you want to find a mild tempered fish to put in your tank. Go to the Fish Finder and enter the word "peaceful" or "community" into the search field and hit "Start". All the fish with a peaceful temperment will be listed.

Species Specific Information

Each fish species is catagorized by Family name and then subdivided into Species name. A common name is then given if one is to be found.

Each species page includes information about each fish including geographical origin, habitat, temperment, size, swimming level, diet and more.
