CLAUDIA (BLOOM) HANDZLIK '70

 

During her senior year, Claudia was captain of three undefeated teams; field hockey, basketball, and softball. As catcher for the softball team, she established several school records in a nine game season including RBI's, triples, and homeruns which still stand She was chosen Hightstown High School Athlete of the Year in both her junior and senior years.

She continued her athletic career at Ursinus College where she played four varsity sports, two in one season. As a result of her accomplishments, she was a member of the U.S. Lacrosse Team and the U.S. Lacrosse Touring Team Claudia was inducted into the Ursinus College Hall of Fame in 1990.

After college, Claudia returned to Hightstown High as a teacher. She moved on to coach field hockey and lacrosse at Princeton University from 1979-83. She is now married and is the proud mother of two children.
