Craig Hannas excelled in soccer, basketball, and golf at Hightstown High. While playing at HHS, he received All-State, First Team All-Mercer, All-Delaware Valley and All-Suburban Trenton Honors in Basketball. He averaged 19.4 points a game and set six HHS basketball records in his senior year. Craig placed second in Mercer County golf and participated in the State Golf Championships in '66 and '67. As a member of the varsity soccer squad, he was recognized as All Mercer County and All Delaware Valley Conference in '66,

Craig continued his athletic pursuits at St Andrews College in North Carolina. In basketball, he was recognized as a 3-time NAIA All-South and All-Conference star. He still holds college rebounding records. He was also recognized in soccer as a 3 time NCAA Div. I All-American goalie and player of the year in the South Atlantic States. Craig was the first inductee into his college's Athletic Hall of Fame.

Craig currently resides in Maryland with his wife, Christine, and four children.
