CARRIE (BALCOMB) KAMPERMAN '77

 

Carrie Played singles on the varsity tennis team for all four years of her high school career. She was undefeated in regular season play during her junior and senior years, and compiled an overall record of 65-4. She was ranked second in the state her junior year and first her senior year. The USTA ranked Carrie No. 1 in NJ, No. 5 in Middle States, and No. 66 in the US. She was also outstanding in field hockey and basketball while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

Carrie went on to Auburn University on a tennis scholarship. She played first singles and received the Top Performer Award for all four years. Since college she has been a tennis pro at Hilton Head and a professional model. She is now married and the mother of two children. As first vice president of the U.S. Professional Tennis Association she still keeps busy with tennis.
