MIKE RADICS '76

 

Mike Radics, the All Star pitcher for the Hightstown High varsity baseball team, set five school records. This talented pitcher led his team on to a state championship game his senior year losing to New Providence in extra innings. For his efforts, he was recognized with First Team All Mercer, All Delaware Valley Honors and Second Team All State Honors. Mike set NJSJAA records in career wins, innings pitched, strikeouts, tournament wins in a season, and tournament innings pitched in a single season.

Mike Radics, the starting quarterback on the Rams memorable 1975 football team, also set five school records in football. Moving from the light end position in his junior year to quarterback, he led the team to the state championship game against Red Bank his senior year. Because of the strength of the team and Mike's ability at quarterback, he was recognized as First Team All Mercer, All Delaware Valley, All Shore Region and All State.

Receiving a scholarship to continue his athletic pursuits, Mike attended the University of Tampa. He pitched for two years before an arm injury ended his pitching career. After graduation with a degree in Accounting, he eventually purchased Barnett International and is now the Director of Finance and Operations. Mike lives in Tarpon Springs, Florida with his wife Angie and daughter Kayla.
