Mark Clements '78

 

Mark Clements was a varsity letter winner in the following sports: football, 3 years; baseball, 2 years; basketball, I year; track, 1 year. He was the 1977 Mercer County Player of the Year for football - Trenton Times and Trentonian. He was also First Team All Area linebacker and Second Team All State linebacker that same year. Mark was captain of the 1977-football team that won the first CVC title for Hightstown and went on to the state finals. He held the team record for tackles (74) and assists at linebacker. At fullback, he combined for over 950 yards rushing and receiving with an average of 5.7 yards per carry.

After leavings Hightstown, Mark continued his football career first at Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, Virginia and later at East Stroudsburg University, Pennsylvania. In 1982 while at East Stroudsburg, he led the team in tackles with 128 helping the team to win the Pennsylvania State Conference Championship.

Mark is currently in law enforcement with the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office He lives in Hopewell Township -with his wife Michelle Raymond Clements, Hightstown class of 1979, and has two children, Ryan, 9 and Megan, 7

This summer Mark started the Hopewell Valley Pop Warner football program.
