JEFFREY GRECZYN '73

 

Jeff Greczyn played Varsity Football at Hightstown High School for three years. He also played Varsity Basketball. As a senior on Dave McIntyre's 8-1 team, he led the team in total yards gained (1334), yards rushing (1206), times carried (168), average per carry (7.2), total points (96), touchdowns (14), and gained 100 yards in 8 of 9 games. He was the first back in school history to gain over 1000 yards in a season. He received the following honors: First Team All Delaware Valley, First Team All Suburban, Second Team All Area, Second Team All Shore and Third Team All State.

After high school, Jeff entered Rutgers University on a full football scholarship and lettered 1974-1976. He was a starter at fullback and tailback on those teams, which compiled a combined record of 27-5-1. During his senior year, the team was 11-0.

Jeff graduated from Rutgers in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice. He is currently the Commander of the Middlesex County Narcotics Task Force.

In 1978 he married his high-school sweetheart, Lauren Kettlekamp. They have two sons Justin and Derek.
