LARRY R. GUNNELL, Sr. '60

Larry Gunnell played varsity soccer, basketball, track and baseball while attending Hightstown High School. As a soccer player, he was a member of 2 state championship teams.

He went on to Delaware State University where he received a full scholarship for baseball and played football, basketball and baseball. He was elected to the Delaware State University Hall of Fame in 1988. Larry played minor league baseball in the Oakland Athletic organization in 1964.

Since college, he has taught health & physical education at Plainfield High School for 27 years. He is also a football official and Park Director at Dawes Park and has coached various sports.

He is married to Victoria and has a son Larry "Roscoe" Junior and a daughter Linda.
