BARRY IVINS '51

 

Barry Ivins was a three-sport athlete at Hightstown High School playing on the soccer, basketball and baseball teams. However, Barry is most recognized for his performance on the soccer field. Barry was an All State performer in both his junior and senior years and was a member of the state championship team in his senior year. Upon graduation Barry attended Rutgers University where he continued his athletic career playing soccer. He was named All East his freshmen year and set a school record for scoring five goals in 10 minutes against Ursinus. Barry continued his soccer career by playing professionally for the Trenton Americans in the American Soccer League for the 1952 and 1953 seasons. He continued to play soccer for 6 years in the Capital City Soccer League representing Hightstown

Barry has been the Sales Manager and has had an ownership interest in Potter-Hillman Ford for the past 43 years.

He is married to Peggy and has three children Jamie, Julie and Grady and continues to reside in Hightstown.
