Randy was a four-year varsity letter winner as a member of the Hightstown High School wrestling team. Randy earned many honors during his athletic career. He was named to the First Team All Conference wrestling squad for 3 years and to the First Team All County squad for 3 years.

Randy was Mercer County Tournament Champion for 4 years. In addition, he was District 25 champion in both 1982 and 1983. Randy still holds school records for most wins in a season (23) and most wins in a career (74).

Randy currently is a tractor-trailer mechanic for Jilco Leasing in Cranbury and lives in New Egypt with his wife Donna.
