In 1982 lead the team in all major categories including batting average (.453), runs scored, RBI's, hits, doubles, triples and homeruns. Ed was named All Conference, All Mercer County, All Area Player as well as Most Valuable Player of the 1982 team

Ed then continued his academic and baseball career at Rider College where he still holds four major records in hits, homeruns, RBI's and doubles.

Ed continued his baseball career with the Atlanta Braves organization and played 36 games with the Braves in 1989 collecting 12 hits including 3 doubles and a homerun.
