Axis and Allies is a game of global conquest set in World War II. The original game features plastic pieces and a game board. A player would roll dice to see how many units they would destroy of their enemies. However, the game has been greatly upgraded through the use computers. From 5+ hours on the board game to under two on my comp. Axis and Allies offers great replay ability and is great fun for a couple of friends. In Axis and Allies, a play develops a country army in the overall goal of conquering the world. This is done so during the purchasing turn, a player uses IPC's, or Industrial Production Certificates, or money. Although there is only eight units to chose from, it offers endless possibilities and tough decisions. Axis and Allies provides the battleship, submarines, transports, aircraft carriers, tanks, infantry, fighters, and bombers. Also the player has the option to build anti-aircraft guns, and additional industrial complexes. Also, the player has the option to develop new technologies for an additional 5 IPC's. Long Range Aircraft allow for fighter and bombers additional two spaces of movement. Rockets, allows for a free strategic bombing of an enemy industrial complex. Industrial Technology allows for all costs to be lowered by 1 IPC, excluding technology advancements. Heavy Bombers, allow for three die rolls when bombing. Super Subs; allow for the attack of a sub to be raised by 1. Fighters, where all fighters will now have a defense of 5, and attack of 3. In order to get these technologies; however, a player must roll a six when he pays five IPC. See screen shots!
