Cross Stitch Gifts

I created this page to show off cross stitch-related gifts I have given and received. These are special to me as they are made and given with heart and love.

"Jesus Loves Me" freebie by My Big Toe Designs made into a pillow. Finished March 2006. I gave it to my pastor's daughter, Madeline.

"Be Mine" stitched with GAST and DMC for a Valentine Exchange 2006. I made it into a little pillow magnet for Kirsten.

The first one is a freebie I stitched for Blake's 3rd grade teacher. Done on 28 ct. mushroom aida. Finished 4/28/02. The second one is "School Days" given to Tristan's Kindergarten teacher for Christmas 2003. It was finished Nov. 2003.

"Bless This Home" from a CSCC mag. I did this for my cousin who just had surgery. Finished Aug. 14, 2003.

Here is the finished "Because I'm the Chief" I did for dh's county fire chief.(finished July 12, 2003)

This is a Jeanette Crews design I did for a cousin 2/26/02. Stitched on a 18 ct. bookmark.

This is a birth record I stitched for my cousin's new baby (3/4/02), and a "Big Brother" design I stitched for her older son. It was finished 2/15/02.

Towel for towel exchange, done on a huck towel...finished Apr. 2002.

This is an ornament I received as a gift from Amanda when I went to Nashville to meet her and her family.

I finished this piece April 5, 2002. It's a birthday day gift for my dad. I made it into a pillow. The design is from Cross Stitch and Country Crafts magazine, May/June '86.

This is a picture of the gifts I received from my Secret Stitching Sister, Jan. Thank you Jan!!! She also sent me a subscription to my favorite cross stitch magazine, "Just Cross Stitch", a gift that keeps on giving!

Pictured are a package of blank cards (love those!), a terrific Halloween door decoration, a pocket calendar with kitties on it, a leaflet called "Country Collectibles" which will hang in my kitchen when finished, a doorbow kit (never had seen one of these!), a leaflet called "Cattitudes The 11th Litter", a cute snowman ornament, a pair of embroidery scissors (can't have too many!), an apple cookie press, a bead nabber, needles, a wonderful tin with little tins for beads (I love this!!), fabric from Silkweaver (some of which I have already used and not pictured), a gorgeous fabric-covered heart-shaped frame, 2 Christmas cookie cutters, and right in the center (can't see them well) are 2 beautiful ornaments for my 2 boys which they adore! Also not pictured were 2 other gifts for my boys in an earlier package, a little story book for my 4 year old and some pencils and sketch pad for my 8 year old.
