- Total area: 1,661.22 square km
- Hai Duong is situated in the North plain
region of Vietnam. The province is adjacent to Bac Ninh and Quang Ninh
provinces to the North, to Thai Binh and Hung Yen provinces to the
South and the South-West, and to the city of Hai Phong to the East.
The Hanoi - Hai Phong high-speed way No. 5 runs through Hai Duong.
- The greatest part Hai Duong is devoted
for agriculture. Hai Duong has many rivers, creating favorable
conditions for the development of agriculture and a convenient
transport system. Thai Binh river in the North is connected with Hong
River in the South by Luoc river. Farming and handicraft are
traditional and age old practices.The province is rich in historical
and cultural traditions.
