> ... the lines today are amazing (already)
I drove thru Waikiki after the W3C2000 conference (I had been watching the waves from high up in the Sheraton conference area) ... the whole way nextto the park was packed with surfer cars ... crowds are out ... drove up to Diamond Head to get a view of the action there ... even more packed than Waikiki
... surfers rambling across/along/in the street.
The tension is in the air ... clouds overhead, wind barely blowing and
ppl staring out ... watching ... Some commenting to each other ...
"How about rice bowls? Tonggs?" "Yah, picking up ... you can see it
's a groundswell ." A woman stops and peers out ... someone tells
her, "Not here yet ... tomorrow" ... other voices, "Goin' out at
dawn?"
I love the day before a big swell!
Sus
... going out at dawn ...
