Details of the hood, the first piece finished ... this was done in a kind of 'Pollack' style (before the movie) ...
I dripped the paint then blew it with a straw to get more texture.
This is still one of my favorite pieces ...

Friends from '10 Coconuts' at the beach
helped get the project started ...
that meant a lot of yellow painting!
Luckily there was even a tall friend to do the roof.

I applied tape to draw dotted lines...
... then we worked into the night removing the tape.
The trunk 'aboriginal' design begins to emerge.

the square tires are what kids notice first ... whimsy!

Nika and I also collaborate on the fender designs,
and we will be working on more ideas ... so long as the car is still on the road!
