[Updates in green]

Okay, first I'd like to extend my praise to Harvey and Guber because they were quite good in this episode.

The first thing I have to say about Danny and his role in this episode is this: can teachers *really* move around mid-terms like that?

Now I don't want to be all judgemental and nit-picky and stuff, but in this episode we've got two teachers who seem to be paying a whole lot of money towards their careers out of their own pocket. Am I making any sense? No? Okay, skip the generalization. Danny buys say 30+ books (which, I might add, go for $15.40 a pop on amazon.com) for his class on a whim. We know these were not purcahsed with school funding because neither Steven nor anyone else knows what's going on 'til Marla goes on her rant. Then Ronnie whips out her checkbook and dishes out (don't remember the exact number) a whole lot of cash on the spot. Believe it or not, though, I find the latter slightly more believable. I mean Ronnie's like all lawyer-gone-teacher who's not really into the "I don't have all the money in world to waste" mode quite yet. Anyway...what's the name of the page?!

If you've been keeping up with these little IMOs of mine (can't say I apply to that category at the moment [g]) you know I'm a big fan of continuity. So what do you think I liked in this episode? Since this is a one-way conversation with me, myself, and I (speaking of which I have a joke: what did the cyclops say when he wanted to be alone? Just me, myself, and eye) Wow I am *not* funny! Anyway...I'll answer this myself. "Self: Why, you must have liked when Scott's all 'Does your son have any behavoral issues' or whatever, and Kid's Parents are all 'Well, he did hang Mr. Lipshultz's pants from a flogpole last year...'" Ahhhhh...::inhales:: the sweet smell of continuity. For those of you who saw that episode last season, you'd know that Harvey walks into Steven's office sans pants and, when questioned, points out the window (or something) to reveal his pants flying from the flagpole like, well, a flag. And for those of you who didn't see that particular episode for whatever reason, I'm refering to a scene in which Harvey walks into Steven's office sans pants...okay, just kidding [g]. Again...not funny. But, see, I'm *continuous* in my not-funniness. I try hard, really, I do.

This is getting jokingly less and less continuous. I really take issue to the fact that each episode is sixty minutes. Nothing carries over to the next episode, and nothing ties back into anything. Living proof of this is how we got *no* previouslies. *None*! Not that I'm like overly-fond of these previouslies, I don't much care. It just shows that nothing on this episode bothers to relate to any other episode!

And what *has* Harry become? Self: The official "go-er with other faculty members to various houses." Hmmm...that's potential award material. Just needs re-wording. E-mail me if you've got a nice, smooth way to sum that up [g]. Ronnie dragged him to Natalie's, and last seaosn Steven dragged him to supposedly-dead-but-not-really-dead-teacher's (I need to check up on specifics, no?). But you get my point.

On an end note, at the end when we get a little snipit of Steven teaching Danny's class, wouldn't Brooke just totally be *dying* of embarrassement. I mean her dad basically took over the class for the moment. Whatever.
