[Holly looks confused] Scott: It was a joke. Holly [sighing]: Oh! Scott: I only make but three a year, it's a pity to see one fall flat. Elizabeth: I just don't see how you could give me an F! Marla: Because that's as low as I'm allowed to go. If I could've given you a G I would've. Elizabeth: Ms. Hendricks, I have never gotten an F in my life! Marla: Well you have an F. And if you don't stop harassing me, you will be the first student to get a G. Louisa: Harry Senate Steven and Scott [simultaneously]: Now what? Louisa: He worked something out with Sheryl Holt and expanded his suicide club to her website. Parents have called to express their delight. Also, Marla Hendricks is here. Steven and Scott [simultaneously]: I'll take Harry. Marla [upon entering]: I heard that! What's wrong with taking me? You have a problem with taking me? Steven: Look, graduation is in one week. Then you get to go on a long vacation. Marla: Yes, I think of Paris with the seventeen dollars I've got saved up. Marilyn [in reference to Lauren's breakup with Daniel]: So you're not gonna see him? Lauren: No. Marilyn: And did he agree not to see you? Lauren: Wh-what kind of a question is that? Marilyn [matter-of-factly]: He's standing right over there. Scott [casually, upon approaching Harvey after his meeting about Scott's possible new job as headmaster of a private school]: Oh. What'd ya say? Harvey: Confidential! Scott [desperately]: Did ya bury me? Harvey: Why would I do that, Scott? Scott: You buried me. Harvey: Scott, I don't get many chances to get you the hell out of Winslow High; I didn't waste the opportunity. Lisa Greer: Anything else? Scott: No... [Lisa turns to leave] Scott: Ms. Greer? I don't know whether you're a symphony fan, but...nevermind. Steven [in reference to the private school Scott wants to be headmaster of]: Do they have an orchestra? Scott [dreamily]: I could build one! The grandest- [coming back to reality] I believe they do. Lauren: Harvey, what's wrong? Harvey [crestfallen]: Scott didn't get the job. Lauren [about Daniel]: So in other words he's a sociopath? Harry: I'm hoping he saw - so am I. [At a gun shop, Lauren picks up a gun] Gun Salesman: It's available in either nine millimeter or forty caliber; does that feel sexy or not? Lauren: I don't plan to make love to it. |
