The Cingular Resolution Specialist
I have recently been corresponding via email and telephone with a representative of Cingular's who works at the office of the president. She has been posting messages at the Yahoo! Clubs Cingular Sucks website (and on the message board at this website) in an effort to help customers remedy their problems with Cingular's service. Wendy, aka Resolution Specialist, seems truly commited to helping solve whatever issues you may have and her extremely polite and helpful personality is the one bright spot at Cingular. I have discussed with her some of the many problems I have with their service (particularly the "Unlimited Nights and Weekends" scam) and she is currently in the process of working to ameliorate the situation. I have yet to reach a satisfactory result but I have only been working with her for about a week so I will be sure to make updates to this site regarding the progress we have made. You can contact her via email at resospecialist@yahoo.com and I'm sure she will get in touch with you and provide you with more contact information such as a telephone number. She requests that I don't post her work number on this site so she can expedite the complaints in an orderly manner. Also, I don't think she wants 200 pissed off customers calling her at work every day so I can respect her request. While her email address is a Yahoo! address, I can assure you that she really does work for Cingular. I actually called the regular customer service number to be sure because I was hesitant about giving personal information to someone with an informal email account. So give her a try and please let me know how it worked out for you. I am curious to see how far Cingular will go to ensure their customer's satisfaction.
Corrections
In The "Unlimited Nights and Weekends" Scam section of the website, I incorrectly stated that Cingular does not allow all of their customers the ability to access their voicemail with a different phone (thanks to a viewer of this site for pointing out this discrepancy!). In certain regions of the U.S., Cingular gives their customers this feature free of charge. However, in my region (California, bay area specifically), they charge a fee for this service. I'm not sure why, but I've heard that other features and prices vary depending on where you live so be sure to do your homework before you decide to sign up with any cellular provider and know what you're getting (or in California's case, not getting). So, make sure to bookmark this site so you can stay updated on all the other features you can't have and I'll also be sure to post the final results of my experience with Wendy, the Resolution Specialist, as soon as it occurs.
