We understand people have many different lifestyles. Circumstances may change,(Examples: Housing, allergies, schedule changes.)These and other changes can affect your family dynamics. Some of our birds come to us because of those reasons, some from abuse and neglect. Our goal is to find the right bird for you and your family. We want this to be the last adoption these birds will ever need. The goal is a forever flock!
Adoption fees vary from bird to bird, and are set by the circumstances surrounding their arrival. Some are purchased in order to move them here from their previous home. Not many people give away their birds, in order to guarantee a good future home for them. The bird being fostered by us may require any of the following; training, vet care, disease testing, rehabilitation. Special needs are also considered in the setting of their individual fee. That adoption fee makes it possible for us to provide for their individual needs.
The goal of our program is not to make money, but to find these birds the right home & family no matter how long it takes. All parrots are intellegent and deserve a loving and knowledgeable home. Many times people "impulse buy" a parrot and are misinformed from the beginning about their care & the time they require. Our pledge is to make sure you as their new adoptive owner, are well informed about the species & their needs, and to give you the support you need to properly care for your pet for the rest of its life.
If you adopt through us & at any point in time you cannot continue to care for your pet, they are to be returned to us. We want families/flocks for the birds entrusted to our care.
