Creations Critters is a small, closed, in home aviary that is dedicated to the well being of our birds. We take great pride in our breeders, babies, & rescue birds. We care about their enviorment, nutrition, socialization and all of their individual needs. All of our birds are disease tested for Polyomavirus, Chlamydia (psittacosis), PBFD, Pacheco's disease virus.
Our birds are truely "family" raised. We have 7 beautiful children, 1 dog and 6 horses. Our entire family is involved with raising and socializing our baby birds. The babies are used to lots of family activities and attention from numerous people. We all take part in their care and developement.
To our customers we offer honesty and a desire to help you find the right bird or species for you. If we were simply to "sell" a bird we are doing a diservice to our babies and our customers.
To purchasers, or adoptive families, we offer guidance in selecting the right species for you and your family. We care about our babies and the families they will live with. We want you to be knowledgeable about them and their needs before you bring them into your home.
Our rescue program offers birds a second chance. Birds are assessed as to what the best home setting for them would be. All interested families/individuals are sent adoption forms, and the best possiable match is chosen for them based on their specific needs. We will personally foster a bird as long as it takes to find it a good home. (We may only have a few rescue birds a year.)
We also provide educational opportunites to the public. Our heart is to inspire more young people to become interested in aviculture, and the preservation of various avian species.
Our long term future goal: To provide a semi-public aviary. One where people can come and enjoy the beauty of the birds & learn about them.
We are also in the process of organizing a high risk youth horseback riding program. "Horses for Healing Hearts" will have a focus on children with emotional disabilities. Some of our own children have been adopted and came to us with various emotional difficulties and disabilities. We understand the huge need for something like this in our area. There are youth who need to learn to love and trust again, and horses offer a safe way into their hearts. Abused horses and abused kids can relate to one another. Both the children and the horses need this program.
