Mortal Kombat is one of those series that have withstood the test of time by spawning movies, t.v. shows, cartoons, and games. Mortal Kombat has always been known for delivering fast-paced single and multiplayer action to videogame con- sumers and the latest installment is no expection. Mortal Kombat:Deadly Alliance's story is about how Shang Tsung and Quan Chi form an alliance to basically rule the world together destroying all embassadors of good. A lot of characters from past series are here, along with a load of new ones. The best thing about the characters in MK:Deadly Alliance is their di- versity. Each character has three fighting stances each with variations to the their huge list of moves. Fatalities are back which have always been the trademark of series, and they are better than ever. Sorry no two button upper-cuts this time, but they are incorporated into the characters specials and fatalities. Although "Test Your Might" is back along with a new option "Test Your Sight. "You can also go into a Training Mode and practice every character's moves until you learn them completely. A new option called the "Krypt" requires you to earn different varieties of coins in tournament mode in order to unlock hundreds of tomes in a dark room. The prizes that are inside the coffins include new stages, pictures, and more pictures. Over all the game is stunning and is easy to recom- mend for people who want a wild, fun action game and are tired of all the other things the videogame market has put out.
