Xbox Controller S

When the XBOX lauched back in late 2001, many would-be-buyers of the console were put off by its controller. Although some people were bothered by the somewhat close placement of the main buttons, the controller itself did not feature a bad button layout or interface flaw. The size of it was what caused most gamers to invest their money elsewhere. Younger or small-handed gamers had a hard time getting a grip on the cumbersome controller, but now Microsoft has re-opened its console's door to these gamers by releasing the XBOX Controller S. This controller isn't just a smaller version of its larger counterpart. The form of the controller has been completely reworked to provide maximun comfort for both small and large handed players, the d-pad is new, the analog sticks have been redone (but unfortunately Microsoft scraped the different designs on the analog sticks on the original controller and they now both look identical), the trigger buttons are a bit smaller, and the face button layout has been changed dramatically; the A,B,X, and Y buttons are now farther apart to appease those picky players, the black and white buttons are now circular rather than oval and are located under the A,B,X, and Y buttons, and similarly the start and back buttons are located underneath the left analog stick and are much smaller than before. A couple of months after releasing this controller and being pleased by its sales and consumer responses, Microsoft anounced that it would now become the standard XBOX controller. So if you looking for a good XBOX controller and don't want to take the substantial risk of buying a third party controller, I recommend the XBOX controller S. It's the best (and now only) first party controller for the XBOX out there.
