JAMES HEBDEN of RAISGILL. His will, in 1570, showed he had surviving children and it was these children who became the Kirkdeighton line.

WILLIAM HEBDEN of Ingmanthorpe, (whose estate was administered in 1623), Alison, Elizabeth, Joan and JEFFREY HEBDEN of Ingmanthorpe near Kirkdeighton, Wetherby. (b 1562).

Descendants to the two sons are known.

WILLIAM HEBDEN of Ingmanthorpe married Elizabeth (probably around 1590) and together they had four daughters, Ann (b.1595 and married Richard Roundell), Elizabeth (b 1601), Jane (b1606) and Grace (b 1609).
There were also three sons.
Jeffrey died in infancy.
Peter married Ann and had a daughter Elizabeth (1622-1625). Peter died shortly afterwards in 1628.
WILLIAM HEBDEN jnr. married Dorothy Ellison and produced five girls and one son, Jeffrey (b 1628). Nothing more is known of him.
The daughters were : Elizabeth (1617-20),Ann (b 1620 and married John Mason), Jane (b 1623 and married James Fawsell), Elizabeth (b 1625 and married Richard Stambourne), Dorothy (b 1632) and Isabel (b1628).

JEFFREY HEBDEN of Ingmanthorpemarried Jane and had six children, two boys and four girls.
The girls were Ann ( b1607), Elizabeth, Ellen and Bridget. Bridget was born 1601 and married a Thomas Wharton.

Their sons were James, of whom nothing more is known and THOMAS.

THOMAS HEBDEN married an ANN HEBDEN and had three known children, Dorothy (b 1631), Ann (b 1636) and THOMAS.

This Thomas was born in 1629 and died at the age of 35. He had been married to Mary and they had two children - MAUDLAND and Elizabeth(b 1655 and married Thomas Walker).

Nothing further is known of this line though interestingly enough the name MAUDLAND does crop up in one of the other branches. I only wish I could remember which one !!
