Tournament Revisits Hilo


Bowlers enjoying the new format The Hilo Junior Bowling Club is back with the new format for Hilo. On August 26, 2000 at 9 a.m. Hilo will hold another mixed match game tournament. The winners of the first tournament was Dennis and Thelma Lee. Will you be next?

Bowlers enjoying the new format After the qualifying round, bowlers will bowl in single elimination baker style games. After eliminations, the top 5 teams bowl in pro-style stepladder games. The winner of the stepladder is the NEW Hilo Junior Bowling Match-game doubles champion.


The Hilo Junior Bowling Club hopes to see you there for some spirited competition. Try out this new format. You might enjoy it!


Izumo to Run Junior Olympic Clinic

The Hilo Junior Bowling Club is hosting a USA Junior Olympic Bowling Clinic in Hilo. They are proud to have Daryl Izumo come over from managing Lihue Lanes on the island of Kauai. Izumo, a member of the Professional Bowling Association and winner of a local PBA event will be running the clinic.
