While picking off our "ticks" we joked about doing each other like chimps and eating the "ticks". After a few minutes we climbed the left bank, looking mauka, and followed an old road which soon turned to a trail and climbed to the low back on Kaipapa`u Ridge. Here are two shots taken about 1/2 way up, one looking down the other up.
