A cat alarm is similar to an alarm clock. However, instead of beeping or buzzing in the morning, a cat alarm might meow incessantly, walk across your body or even lick your eyelids to wake you up. If you're trying to sleep in — forget it. Morning rituals must be observed, and you're not getting off the hook just because it's a weekend. Cat alarms don't have snooze buttons, either, but they can sometimes be temporarily subdued with proper petting ("proper" being determined by the cat, not by you) or an invitation under the covers.
