Questions and Answers
Q. Is God really Infinite? A. Yes! He knows no limits, no bounds and no end, He cannot be measured.
Q. God is Immense. What does that mean? A. Isaiah 40:12 = "Who else has held the ocean in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed out the mountains and the hills?"
Isaiah 40:15-16 = "No, for all the nations of the world are nothing in comparison with Him. They are but a drop in the bucket, dust on the scales. He picks up the islands as though they had no weight at all. All Lebanon's forests do not contain sufficient fuel to consume a sacrifice large enough to honor Him."
Q. Is God good? A. Psalm 119:68 = "You are good and do only good."
Psalm 34:8 = "Taste and see that the Lord is good."
Q. Is God just? A. Genesis 18:25 = "Should not the judge of all the earth do what is right?"
Psalm 19:9 = "The laws of the Lord are true; each one is fair."
Q. Is God really Merciful? A. Psalm 103:8 = "The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and full of unfailing love. He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever. He has not punished us for all our sins, nor does He deal with us as we deserve. For His unfailing love toward those who fear Him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our rebellious acts as far away from us as the east is from the west. The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear Him. For He understands how weak we are. He knows we are only dust. Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die. The wind blows and we are gone-- as though we had never been here. But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear Him. His salvation extends to the children's children of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey His commandments!"
Q. Is God filled with kindness towards us? A. Ephesians 1:6-8 = "So we praise God for the wonderful kindness He has poured out on us because we belong to His dearly loved Son. He is so rich in kindness that He purchased our freedom through the blood of His Son, and our sins are forgiven. He has showered His kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding."
Q. Is God really everywhere at once? Is He really Omnipresent? Does He penetrate everything? A. 1 Kings 8:27 = "But will God really live on earth? Why, even the highest heavens cannot contain You. How much less this Temple I have built!"
Jeremiah 23:23-24 = "Am I a God who is only in one place?" asks the Lord. "Do they think I cannot see what they are doing? Can anyone hide from Me? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and the earth?" asks the Lord.
Acts 17:27-28 = "His purpose in all of this was that the nations should seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward Him and find Him-- though He is not far from any one of us. For in Him, we live and move and exist."
Psalm 139:7-10 = "I can never escape from Your spirit! I can never get away from Your presence! If I go up to heaven, You are there; if I go down to the place of the dead, You are there. If I ride the wings of the morning; if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there Your hand will guide me, and Your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night-- but even in darkness I cannot hide from You. To You the night shines as bright as day."
