Repentance

Before you can understand and receive all that God has for you, you must understand the humility of repentance. You must agree with God that:

1) Sin is alive and aggressive inside you. It needs a daily rebuke and there must be absolutely no allowance for its subtleties in your daily journey up to the throne of God.
2) You need to get sin out before you can hear from God accurately. This is done by a daily washing.

I have compiled a list of common sins that weigh us down. Go down the list, asking God to reveal what sins you have inadvertently or not entertained in your life. Better yet, confess to each one and deal with each one in this manner:

"Father, I confess to having succumbed to (the sin of) ___________ in my life.
"I repent of _____________.
"I rebuke you, spirit of ____________.
"I renounce you, spirit of ____________, and I break the covenant of ___________ that I made with you, evil spirit, when I allowed you to enter into my soul and help me to sin in this way.
"I bind you, spirit of ___________ and send you back to Hell right now.
"And now I loose from Heaven, __________ (sin's opposite), and receive the opposite of this sin which takes this sin in my soul. Thank you, Jesus, for blessing me with forgiveness and mercy and love. Hallelujah!"

Are you ready to repent?

Now that you have learned to repent on a daily basis, write these five things down in your bible for a daily washing:

1) Repent
2) Rebuke the spirit of...
3) Renounce/break the covenant of...
4) Bind and send it back to Hell
5) Loose and receive its opposite, praising God for His cleansing.

A feeling of utter peace washes over me when I do this little exercise of thorough washing. Freedom, love, and trusting God for every detail of the day are the rewards of those who repent daily. Your prayer life will take off as you see the needs so much clearer all around you. What freedom God has given to those who confess His name!
