1986
June 13 - Hello, World! Mary-Kate and Ashley are born in Los Angeles to
loving parents Jarnie and Dave Olsen.
1987
February - Seven-month-old Mary-Kate and Ashley go on their first
audition and get the part of tiny Michelle Tanner on the television series "Full
House".
September - "Full House" starts shooting in Los Angeles. Mary-Kate and
Ashley take turns playing Michelle on the soon-to-be hit ABC series. Fun Fact:
Little Mary-Kate would act out the comedic scenes while Ashley took on the more
serious ones.
1992
June - Mary-Kate and Ashley shoot their first television movie, To
Grandmother's House We G
o
(ABC). Fun Fact: While making the film in Canada, Mary-Kate rides her first
horse and becomes a devoted equestrian!
September - Ashley has her first encounter with the tooth fairy; four
weeks later, it's Mary-Kate's turn!
1993
April - Mary-Kate and Ashley release their first music video, Our First
Video.
November - Olsen and Olsen Mystery Agency Opened! Mary-Kate and Ashley
play private investigators and solve mysteries as "The Trenchcoat Twins" for a
new video series entitled The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley. At the same
time, their first book series comes out.
1994
September
- You're Invited To Mary-Kate & Ashley's video series kicks off with Sleepover
Party.
December - Mary-Kate and Ashley celebrate Christmas on a cruise aboard
the USS Sensation and shoot The Case of the Mystery Cruise video.
1995
June - Caribbean vacation aboard the USS Imagination with fans and
friends.
July - Mary-Kate and Ashley play with dolphins and even get to ride a
killer whale while making The Case Of The Sea World Adventure.
October - In space! Well, almost. Mary-Kate and Ashley go to NASA space
camp with th
eir Dad and older brother, Trent, to make The Case of the U.S Space
Camp Mission video. They ride in a space simulator and get to meet an astronaut.
October - Mary-Kate and Ashley both lose their front teeth while on
location in Florida.
December - Mary-Kate gets her first pony and names him "CD."
1996
April - Mary-Kate and Ashley's first feature film, It Takes Two, is made.
It co-stars Kirstie Alley and Steve Guttenberg.
July- Aloha Vacation! Mary-Kate and Ashley learn to surf from a real
Hawaiian pro surfer!
Mary-Kate and Ashley win the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Award for Favorite Movie
Actresses for It Takes Two.
1997
February - Learn to Ski! Mary-Kate and Ashley go to Vail, Colorado and
shoot the Christmas Party video on the slopes.

Queens! Mary-Kate and Ashley start experimenting with wearing lip gloss, a
little blush and eye shadows.
November - Mary-Kate and Ashley star in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day
Parade in New York City, riding on the Jell-O float.
1998
August - Cruisin'! Fun, Florida vacation aboard the Disney Magic cruise
ship with family, friends and fans
September - New TV series, "Two of a Kind" (ABC), starts airing. Fun
Fact: The girls play characters named Mary-Kate and Ashley but with a different
last name - Burke.
1999
September - Mary-Kate and Ashley start 8th grade and join the
cheerleading squad.
October - Online! Mary-Kate and Ashley take on the Internet, launching
Mary-KateandAshley.com.
June - Mary-Kate and Ashley make their first trip to Europe and shoot
Passport to Paris in the City of Lights. Fun Fact: On the set, they have their
first onscreen kisses.
2000
May - Toys! Mattel's Mary-Kate and Ashley fashion dolls hit stores.
They're a huge hit!
April - Mary-Kate and Ashley get to ride the waves again and go surfing
in Australia while shooting their movie, Our Lips are Sealed.
October - Jolly good time! Spend a month in Great Britain to shoot
Winning London.
September 25 - Mary-Kate and Ashley attend their first big concert in Los
Angeles and see the Counting Crows.
2001
January - Fashion! The Mary-KateandAshley fashion and accessories line
launches at WAL*MART.
June - New TV series "So Little Time" premieres on Fox Family Channel.
Summer - Start dating.
August - Honored! The Hollywood Reporter names Mary-Kate and Ashley the
"Most Powerful Young Women in Hollywood."
October - Hit the Road! Mary-Kate and Ashley get their learner's permits
from the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
October - Animated! "Mary-Kate and Ashley IN ACTION!" Debuts Saturday
mornings on ABC.
November - Mary-Kate and Ashley get to jet ski in the Caribbean while
shooting Holiday in the Sun.
2002
February - Mary-Kate and Ashley do lots of skiing in Deer Valley, Utah
while shooting their bra
nd-new movie, Getting There.
Spring - End of sophomore year of high school! Lots of studying to get
ready for college and the SAT's.
April - Ciao, Italia! Mary-Kate and Ashley tour Italy and shoot the movie
When in Rome, to be released later in the year.
