Dog Daze

I  have  just returned  from spending
a week at 'Obedience Training School'
and after all that training~
My Dog ran away.
Go Figure...
Well being the thrifty person that I am,
I decided that all I learned could also be
applied to my MAN...

How To Treat Him Like a Dog !

Retrieving
Begin this during basic obedience training.
If he likes chasing balls, let him chase a ball.
If he likes chasing sticks, let him chase a stick.
But if he starts chasing women ~
Have him neutered.

Play Dead
Unfortunately he has learned this all by himself.
Just make special plans to go somewhere, like
your Mother's house...
And You will hear  "Aw honey, I am dead tired "
A few minutes later he's on the sofa watching
a football game

Roll Over
Roll over is taught from the play dead position,
using hand signals, physically move him
form your side of the bed, and take
control of all the blankets

Sit Up And Beg
If the treats are right, he will be doing this
all the time. Reward him with a nice pat
on the head, and don't forget to say good boy !

Stay
He must learn to stay at home when
you go shopping. There are good reasons
for this...
When you are done you won't feel like walking
all the aisles looking for him... And you don't
want him to take a bite out of  your spending.

Bring The Newspaper
This classic trick can be a great service to you.
It can save needless steps and be a great
comfort to you when the weather is chilly or
terribly hot. While you are busy relaxing, he will
be happily working.
And you get to cut out the coupons before
he reads it. Also very good to have the paper
around when you need to smack him.

Jump
You are in charge.
Teach him the right commands. When you say jump-
he says How high ?
You don't need a hoop or a stick unless he
needs re-enforcement.

Potty Train
Let him know where the nearest
tree or fire hydrant is.
And you will never have to worry
about the toilet seat being wet or left
in the upright position.
