Re: Chapter By-Laws
Posted on our website for your consideration are the
Chapter By-Laws that have been revised on advice of the CPCU Society.
To effect these changes, two-thirds of the membership must approve the
revised version.
For your convenience, the previous wording is included in the strike-thru
font, and the new wording is italicized.
The changes are not extensive; most are clarification and updating. One
change does allow the members to vote electronically on future changes
which the current by-laws do not allow. For this vote, it will be
necessary to vote by mail. A ballot and a return envelope are enclosed for
that purpose.
Please review the proposed by-laws and download your ballot from this
e-mail, complete it and return it to the address listed on the form by
June 21, 2004. According to the by-laws, members must vote within four
weeks of the mailing of this notice (see page 8, paragraphs 2-4). Your
vote does count in this election.
