Mauna Kea, Big Island

These are pictures of Mauna Kea, the largest mountain on all the island. If measured from its base at sea level, the mountain it self is TALLER than Mount Everest, but since the base of Mount Everest is so high above sea level, it is the one that is famous for being the HIGHEST mountain in the world. We think that Mauna Kea is much cooler!!! I can see her from the balcony of my apartment. Some of the pictures on this page were taken from the balcony, so I could show everyone the beautiful veiw we have. Hope you enjoy the pictures of this amazing mountain!
