Pololu Valley

These pictues are from Pololu Valley, which is on the far side of the Kohala district of the Big Island. The highway ends at the lookout for this valley. There is a trail that leads down to the beach in the valley, but it is narrow and somewhat treacherous, so we did not brave it that day. The landscape around and in the valley was so dramatic and picturesque that I couldn't stop my camera! Hope you enjoy these pictures.

This is a view of the mountainsbeside the valley. Look at the happy little horses living in Hawaii!

Breathtaking, isn't it...?

I managed to work up enough courage to walk a few steps down the trail to the beach just far enough to get this shot looking into the valley.
