There has always been a remnant , an unbroken chain of hope--
That traveled on many a by way and sailed on many a boat--
From grazing lands , to battle fields,Someone has always championed the cause--
There has always been a remnant that would answer God's every call--

From Abraham to Isaac to Jacob and the rest--
They all obeyed the Father to help Him in His quest--
Time had no real meaning for the end was always in His site--
Their has always been a remnant to carry on the fight--

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were simple men at best--
But they put their best foot forward! ahead of all the rest--
Yes! their has always been a remnant that was made up of the very best--

Then the final day of redemption as they hung our Lord Jesus from that tree--
Were he gave his life and his Holy blood to cover the sins of you and me--
And even yet there is still a remnant to help our Holy Father keep us free--

Thank you Father I give you all the Glory.
