Statistics say that 130 Filipinos die every day from Tuberculosis. For many TB is the end of their lives if it was not for the YWAM TB Ministry. God has shown us that this ministry is an avenue of bringing life through Jesus Christ.
The TB ministry operates both in the Balut Temporary Housing area (where these photos were taken)and also Dasmarinas Cavite, a town about 2 hours south of Manila (one of the key relocation sites for the people of Smokey Mountian). This ministry is done in conjunction with church planting.
Patient goals of the ministry:
1) Daily Observation treatment (focus is on treatment, and also the Word of God is shared with participants)
2)To educate TB patients through conducting seminars with the Health Department
3)To network with drug companies and the Department of Health
4)Continue to add New patients - 100 from temporary housing & 50 from dasmarinas Cavite
5) Increase the number of staff
