There are many rappers signed to the 19th street label, here they are: Crooked I, Sho Shot, J Money, Coco Loc, Ms. Coco, Lil Tip, Diceman, Ms. Legacy, Shorty K, and Lil J. Peep this review of the compilation from the Doggystyle/19th Street Records Page. The 19th Street Compilation came out and apparently this isn't a renamed Doggystyle records, but rather a new label that is down with Snoop's label... Of course the first track Bustaz is the hottest song on here, but now for a big surprise! Apparently the mysterious man 19th street is no other than Dr. Dre's buddy RBX! Even though he is listed here as BRX, the Long Beach native's voice is unmistakable, but he only lays down some vocals and doesn't rap on the track, he leaves that to the other LBC players and this song is worth a listen. Check it out at my Dogg Pound Sight. It is produced by Daz and DJ Aladdin, who used to be WC's partner. (An interesting sidenote, I saw a DJ Aladdin cd from last year with a track on it by someone called tha Eastsiders but when I listened to it I didn't think it was anyone on here. Is it just a coincidence that ended up producing the main track with one of the new Eastsiders in it?) Many of the tracks on this 14 song album are really long, I'm talking six minutes, and you may feel like skipping over a lot of them after three minutes for variety alone. Bomb tracks include Rap Killer, which showcases newcomer Crooked I (check him out on the Caught Up soundtrack and as a hidden rapper on the new Snoop song "Feels So Good") and Jackin For Flows, which features Harlem World player McGruff (this is like Watts own Killa Kam being down with Mase and McGruff) where they pay respect to rappers such as Biz Markie and DOC and many others. Soopafly appears twice as a producer on here, once as PJ Brooks on Gangsta Gangsta (the name of his original rap label) and once under his nickname on Flossin, which is a Doggystyle track featuring Tray Deee, Lil C-Style, and Bad Ass, which are both nice. Bo Rock is kind of nice on Bounce To This abd Ashes to Ashes but in my opinion he doesn't lay down enough vocals to count as a memorable appearance. LT Hutton really shines as a producer here, his past credits include the Lost Boyz/DPG track "Music Makes Me High", the Daz/Immature track "Ohh Wee Baby", and the classic LBC Crew track "Beware of My Crew" and his skills have definitely improved (on the first two tracks mentioned he uses the same piano riff, which was dope, but I wrote him off as limited, my mistake.)
