DJ Glaze speakin'- In 1991, we met Big Wes and Shug, yup Shug Marion Knight, the CEO of Death Row Records. We didn't actually have to deal with Shug though. We were Wes' boys. At the time they were both bodyguards for New Edition. He was trying to mold us into a Long Beach NWA kickin' gangsta shit so we made up the name Foesum. The group consisted of T-Dubb, Wayniac, M&M, and me, DJ Glaze. We recorded a whole album at Solar Records, Home of legendary groups like Lakeside, the Whispers, and Babyface. Some of the cuts recorded but never released include "Ridin' High,"(recut on the Twinz album) "Point of No Return," "Knick Knack Patty Wack," "Ain't No Fun" featuring Kid Frost, "Much Love," and M&M's "Chrome To The Dome." After no success with Wes we decided to step. In 1992, the group was inactive for about a year and Wayniac was offered a chance to write and appear on Warren G's album "Regulate." This left me, M&M, and T-Dubb left to be Foesum. Finally in 1994, we were lucky enough to meet Tony G and Julio G through Kid Frost. Ruthless Records Eazy E put Julio G down to co-host a radio show on L.A.'s 92.3 The Beat called The Ruthless Radio Show. In just a few weeks we recorded the songs "Lil Somethin' Somethin' " and "Listen To The Sound" and got album offers from Eazy, Tommy Boy, and Big Beat/Atlantic. We signed to Big Beat in January of 1995, finished in June, and they sat on our album for over a year until Penalty/Tommy Boy picked up the project as a joint venture and finally released our album Perfection October 22, 1996. Since then we have been with Penalty who has been doing very little promotion.
