FAMOUS BATTLES Fights! During his life, Gokou has been in many many fights. About 84 to be exact. These are some of his more memorable fights. Gokou vs the big fish! Who can forget the very first fight Gokou was in against that giant blue fish. Gokou vs the giant bear! The bear has a name but I don't recall it. This is when he first uses his Janken (paper/scissors) move. Gokou vs Yamcha! This was the first great battle in the series. Gokou vs Gyuu Maou, or Ox King! Even though this fight lasted a couple of seconds, it was still pretty funny. Gokou vs Oyabun, or Boss Rabbit! This was when Gokou faced off against the rabbit that turned people into carrots. Gokou vs Pilaf, Shao, and Mai! Here, Gokou first turns into an ape and demolishes Pilaf's great castle. Gokou vs Jackie Chun! When Gokou faces off against a disguised Kamesennin at his first Tenkaichi Budokai. This was a huge fight between Gokou and Jackie Chun (Kamesennin). Gokou vs Murasaki the ninja! This wasn't so much a big fight but it was long and funny. Gokou vs Blue Shogun! Gokou faces off, in a long battle, against a very powerful, and very gay, member of the Red Ribbon Army. This fight leads them through Dr. Slump's Penguin Village. That's the town in Akira Toriyama's other manga. Gokou vs Tao-pie pie! This is an interesting fight because when Gokou first faces the assasin, he loses. However, he trains at the top of Karin Tower (not Kami's Tower) and beats him three days later. Gokou vs Black! In this battle Gokou beats the new leader of the Red Ribbon Army. This is officially the last battle with the Red Ribbon Army. Gokou vs Uranai Baba's spirits! Uranai Baba is Kamesennin' sister. She's a witch that can tell you your future for somewhere around ten billion zeni (Dragon Ball's unit of money). If you don't pay you have to fight her spirits. Gokou and his friends almost trash all of them until it comes down to the last spirit, it's Gokou's grandpa. From now on, almost every fight is incredibly long and dramatic, some lasting hundreds of pages in the manga! These fights are what, in my opinion, MADE Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Gokou vs Tenshinhan! Better known as Tien in the US, this was a long and very tense battle. It's actually Akira Toriyama's favorite battle out of all the fights. The reason being is because Gokou and Tenshinhan's power level's are exactly the same. Here's what happens. Gokou, still a young boy, and his friends are all at the 22 Tenkaichi Budokai. Gokou beats all of his opponents easily, except for Kuririn because he cheats and pulls Gokou's tail, but this no longer paralyzes Gokou because as he became stronger, so did his tail. Then he dissapears and starts jumping around the ring, then reappears right in front of Kuririn. Kuririn is so surprised he jumps right out of the ring. Meanwhile, the man who trained with Kamesennin, when they were boys, is there. He also happens to be Tao-pai-pai's brother and he's very upset about his brother's death. But as is with all villians, he lets someone else do the dirty work. He has his two students with him, Chaozu and Tenshinhan. These two fighters each have a unique ability. Chaozu is telepathic and can hold opponents down by concentrating on them. Tenshinhan has a mysterious third eye. Chaozu is defeated by Kuririn before his defeat at Gokou's hand's, however, Tenshinhan only manages to advance by luck because he's paired with Jackie Chun. Jackie steps out of bounds after some fighting and tells Tenshinhan he knows a lot of tricks and it's been fun. When everyone else has been defeated, the final round belongs to Gokou and Tenshinhan. They start off very well matched, but most amazing is their speed. They move so incredibly that it's difficult at times to see them. Trading punch for punch and kick for kick they begin to get angrier and angrier at each other. Gokou tries a move called a one pattern, where you move so fast you leave an image behind. Tenshinhan employs his third eye and easily spots the real Gokou. Tenshinhan use an attack called his volleyball technique. He spikes Gokou into the ground and everyone thinks he's dead but Gokou slowly rises up. They go back at it again, wearing each down now. Tenshinhan uses an attack called Taiyou-ken that reflects the suns energy into his opponents eyes. He rushes Gokou while he's blinded by the attack, but instead, he gets dropped by Gokou. It turns out he took Kamesennin's sunglasses. Tsurusennin (Tenshinhan's trainer) starts to get worried so he tells Chaozu to hold Gokou down telepathically. Suddenly, Gokou is frozen and dropped to the ground. He floats up as Chaozu tries to throw him out of the ring with his mind. Gokou twice uses a Kame Hame Ha to propel himself back into the ring. Tsurrusennin tells Tenshinhan to kill Gokou, but Tenshinhan screams out and says he can't do it because he's not an assassin. Tsurusennin is going to kill Chaozu for Tenshinhan's treason but Kamesennin blast him out of the place with a Kame Hame Ha. Now the fighting resumes. Tenshinhan surprises everyone by growing four more arms and attacking Gokou. Then Gokou boasts that he can grow eight ( even though he doesn't grow them like Tenshinhan, his arms move reall fast so it looks like there's eight). Tenshinhan is now MAJORLY pissed off at Gokou. Tenshinhan puts his hands in front off him and forms an open triangle with his hands. Chaozu screams at him to stop but he continues gathering energy for the attack. Kamesennin knows what the attack is. It's called the Kikouhou. A suicidal attack that's so powerful if a slight error is made in doing it, it could kill the target as well as the attacker. Chaoz is praying, Kamesennin doesn't know what will happen, most of all , Gokou doesn't know what to do. Almost everything is silent when Tenshinhan screams out, "KIKOUHOU!". After the blast the ring is demolished and neither fighter is seen, but then everyone looks up. They're both in the air. Gokou avoided the blast. However, Tenshinhan can float and Gokou can't, the ring is gone so whoever lands first loses. Gokou powers up and prepares a final Kame Hame Ha. Tenshinhan gloats saying he can easily handle the blast and stay afloat. At the last second Gokou fires his blast, but not at Tenshinhan, at the ground. Gokou smashes into Tenshinhan with the force of the blast behind him completely taking him by surprise. Tenshinhan and Gokou are now fully spent. Whoever lands first loses. Tenshinhan being bigger (do the math) falls faster and it looks like Gokou will land seconds behind him making him the winner! But that doesn't happen. At the last second, a truck zooms by, Gokou wings it and that makes him fall to the ground two seconds before Tenshinhan. Oh Well! Better luck next time! Gokou vs Piccolo Daimaou! This was a very much anticipated battle in the series. Everyone hated Piccolo Daimou's guts because he killed Kamesennin and Chaozu. Not only that, one of his minions killed Kuririn. Here's the setting, Piccolo is just about to kill Tenshinhan when Gokou arrives on the scene. Gokou had just gotten back from Karin's Tower. Gokou knew that Piccolo was strong since they'd fought once before, so he went to drink Karin's Super Holy Water. This water will make a person incredibly powerful, however, there are two drawbacks. The first drawback is, it doen't take effect for a long time, and second, it could kill you! Gokou drank the water, and was on the floor for six hours in agony. Eventually he overcomes and rides into battle on his cloud. Prior to this, Tenshinhan was trying to seal Piccolo in the Denshi jar. The jar that Piccolo was originally contained in before Emperor Pilaf let him out. Piccolo can be sealed in the jar by an attack called the Mafuba. The downside to the attack is, it kills you when you complete it. Piccolo stops Tenshinhan before he can do it and beats the snot out of him. Okay, so Gokou arrives and Piccolo throws Tenshinhan to the side. Piccolo tells his minion, Drum, to kill Gokou. Drum dies quickly. Piccolo boasts that he'll kill Gokou in five seconds since he has a city to destroy. Gokou doesn't think so. Piccolo comes out with a big attack but Gokou blocks it as Tenshinhan cheers him on. Gokou then starts to beat up Piccolo and comments that his five seconds are up. This pisses Piccolo off. Piccolo attacks again but Gokou brushes it off easily. Gokou then hits Piccolo once, sending him flying into his last minion, Piano, and killing him. Piccolo and Gokou go at it again exchanging punch for punch. Gokou is pretty dissapointed by Piccolo, so he tells him to fight at full power. He says he'll fight at full power also. Piccolo agrees with him. Piccolo powers himself up and Tenshinhan is overwhelmed by Piccolo's enourmous energy at full power. Gokou says Piccolo does have great power, but so does he. They fight some more and Piccolo smashes Gokou into the ground creating a crater. Piccolo gloats over his victory while Tenshinhan is sad, but prepares to fight Piccolo next, even though he knows he can't win. All of a sudden in the distance they both hear a voice, " Ka-Me-Ha-Me ", Gokou jumps up and screams,"HA!". Piccolo simply laughs at the trick and prepares to block it, when Gokou changes the direction of the beam and smashes Piccolo. This (of course) didn't kill Piccolo because it wasn't at full strength. Gokou looks at the downed Piccolo and tells him to stand up. This pushes Piccolo over the edge! He is now Majorly pissed and powers up to his "real power". Gokou pulls out his Nyoibi staff, but Piccolo trashes it with a blast from his fingers. Piccolo then laughs and detroys an entire block by exploding energy out from inside of him! He laughs again thinking he has won. Wrong! He looks above him and sees Tenshinhan holding Gokou. Tenshinhan took the blast and is almost completely dead. Gokou thanks him and quickly returns to battle even though he though he himself is almost dead. He still says he has a chance to win. Piccolo can't believe his boast so he prepares another explosion blast and gets it off. Now there's a HUGE crater. But, at the bottom a little vioce calls out for his cloud, "Kintoen". Piccolo is totally floored. He thought that none could stand up to his power. Piccolo figures he has to win by cheating. reaches over to the side and picks up Tien by his head. If Gokou moves he'll crush his skull. Tenshinhan, noblely, tells Gokou to attack anyway, but he can't. Piccolo thinks this is funny and levitates some rocks. He mentally hurls the first rock at Gokou and shreds his arm. The second rock takes out Gokou's good leg causing him to fall. Piccolo thinks it's hysterical that Gokou can't stand up now that both of his legs are shot. Piccolo tosses Tien aside and prepares for the final blow. Meanwhile, Gokou powers up for a Kame-Hame-Ha with one hand. Piccolo yells out, "Shinu!", (Die!). They both clash and Gokou is now totally spent. Piccolo prepares to go in for the kill, but then, the Super Holy Water kicks in. Gokou leaps, give a desperate scream, and propels himself straight through Piccolo's chest with a Kame Hame Ha. Piccolo spits up blood, but before he dies, he spits out an egg, (Namecks are assexual, meaning they can reproduce without a female). The egg goes far into the mountains. Piccolo pleads for his son to one day avenge him, and with that, Piccolo the Demon King, (Daimou), dies. Gokou falls to the ground and is totally spent. He can barely lift his eyelids. Yajirobe, who just arrived, takes Gokou to Karin Tower to give him Senzu beans. Gokou vs Ma Junior ( Demon Junior ) a.k.a the Piccolo we all know and love! This memorable fight takes place during the 23 Tenkaichi Budokai. It's the final round of the tournament, and it's between Gokou and Piccolo. This fight was very anticipated, because, now Gokou would get and chance to show off his new skills he learned at Kami's Tower. You see, Gokou traveled up to Kami's Tower after the fight with Piccolo Daimou. Gokou trained up there for several years. When he comes back down to Earth, he's taller, but still young looking. Anyhow, this battle was also looked forward to because it involves Piccolo Daimou's son, Piccolo! And as you should remember Piccolo Daimou's dying words to his son were to avenge him by killing Gokou. Obviosly, Piccolo would also be naturally pissed at Gokou for killing his father, duh. Piccolo entered the tournament under the name of Ma Junior so no one would think anything of him. If he entered under the name Piccolo, everyone would remember the menace from years ago and flee. Alright, now that we got the backround straight, on with the fight! Piccolo had just finished fighting Kami, and sealed him in the ancient Denshi Jar, (I'll explain in my Piccolo biography). After sealing him in the jar, he swallows it. This creates a dilemna because Piccolo and Kami are two halves of the same person. If Gokou kils Piccolo, then Kami will also die. Henceforth, Gokou must retrieve the Denshi Jar from Piccolo so Kami can get out, but he can't kill Piccolo. The final round is about to begin between Gokou and Piccolo. The announcer gives the signal and they begin. Piccolo very cooly says he'll keep his promise. Gokou asks what it is, he simply replies,"To kill you." Gokou and Piccolo fight furiously for a while and to everyone's surprise, Gokou is down! But, he's faking it and Piccolo knows it. Gokou stands up and laughs. His gi is shredded. His friends and fiance, Chi-Chi watch from the stands and are completely blown over by the power and magnitude of the fight they're watching. Meanwhile, Piccolo charges up for a shot that Gokou realizes will kill lots of bystanders. He dashes to another, out of the way location and Piccolo fires, but Gokou dodges it. This ticks off Piccolo. Gokou himself is really ticked that Piccolo would endanger all those lives, so he decides to get even with a Chou (ultimate) Kame-Hame-Ha. His friends call to Gokou that killing Piccolo would also kill Kami. But then again, they realize that they can wish him back to life with the Dragon Balls. Later in the series we find out this wouldn't work. Gokou finishes charging up and realeses his blast, but Piccolo comes up with a blast also. Gokou's beam eventually overcomes Piccolo's and blasts him. Piccolo survives the attack with damage to his mantle and his turban that he was wearing is now gone. The announcer comments that he looks just like Piccolo Daimou. He says he is Piccolo Daimou and he'll rule the world. A second later the stands in the stadium are deserted. Gokou's friends find coverage behind a wall. Tenshinhan orders Gokou not to die. He says he won't. The fighters banter for a bit, when Piccolo tells Gokou to watch this next move. Piccolo powers up and he becomes huge (Not fat, tall). He calls himself Big Ma (Big Demon). Gokou tries to get out of the way but gets smashed into the ground. Gokou has an idea and eggs Piccolo on, he says its good he's big. Piccolo laughs and grows even bigger. Gokou puts his plan into action, and uses a Kame-Hame-Ha to push himself into Piccolo's mouth. He goes into Piccolo's stomach and retrieves the Denshi Jar. He emerges and throws the bottle to Tenshinhan. He opens the bottle and Kami is released. With Kami out, he can put a small limit on Piccolo's powers, and causes him to return to his normal size. Now Piccolo and Gokou are fighting high in the sky. Piccolo smashes Gokou downward, but he fire a Kame-Hame-Ha from his feet to propel himself upwards. Nobody expected that. Piccolo then blasts Gokou and is about to deliver a death blow when Kami blocks the punch. Gokou complains that this is still the Budokai and they still have to obey the rules. Kami yells at Gokou for being stupid, and Gokou defends himself saying he's not worried because he knows all of Piccolo's moves. Then Piccolo fires off a powerful beam which he can control the direction of. Gokou didn't know this move. Gokou dodges the blast, but it comes back around to get him. Gokou runs between Piccolo's legs and the beam explodes. Piccolo defended the blast with his arm, and paid the price. Nothing was left, but a useless, bloodless, arm. Gokou is noble and asks him to surrender, but Piccolo regenerates his arm (His kind can regenerate any limb as long as the head is intact). Piccolo is starting to get real frustrated, so he concentrates all of his energy inside of him. It's a humoungous power. Gokou tells all his friends to get off the island. They refuse to leave Gokou alone. Gokou screams at Bulma to get a plane or something. Tenshinhan gets an idea, and uses his Kikouhou attack to create a deep crater that they all get into. Then, Piccolo unleashe his attack. It's an huge blast of all of his built up power. It explodes from inside of him, destroying all of the landscape around them. Gokou is gone, but then Kuririn announces that Gokou is alive. Gokou gets up and announces that he'll win soon. He is now really, really mad. He charges up and releases a huge Kame-Hame-Ha that crushes Piccolo. Piccolo falls and creates a huge pit. Everyone thinks he's dead, but Kami is still alive, so Piccolo must also be alive. The announcer starts the ten-count. He gets to nine and Piccolo gets up and unleashes a blast from his mouth that goes clear through Gokou's torso, leaving a hole the size of a grapefruit. Piccolo gets up to get revenge for his father. He breaks both of his legs and blasts his good arm. Piccolo smiles and prepares his blast to kill Gokou. Gokou's friends bicker as to what they should do. They consider putting Tenshinhan up against him, but Gokou interrupts, saying he's about to win. This is it, Piccolo is ready to unleash his biggest attack, and Earth's greatest hope is lying three-quaters dead on the ground. Everyone thinks Gokou is joking, when Piccolo unleashes his ultimate attack. Nothing seems to be left of Gokou, but while Piccolo is ecstatic and gloating about his victory, Gokou's friends can't believe what they're seeing, Gokou, flying at warp speed headed straight for Piccolo. Gokou has learned how to fly! His friends can't believe what they see as he flys straight for Piccolo's chest screaming, "You Lose!!", as he smashes into him. Piccolo goes flying totally unprepared for this and goes soaring right out of the ring. The announcer declares Gokou the winner! Piccolo is for the most part dead, but after Gokou eats his Senzu bean, he give's one to Piccolo. He eats it, but is not grateful as he flys off. Gokou, Piccolo... and Gohan? vs Raditzu! This is my favorite fight. "Why?", you ask. Easy, this is the very first fight I saw and the fight that hooked me on Dragon Ball. This is also the first fight in Dragon Ball Z which automaticcaly makes it a winner. This is obviously not the coolest fight, but it is my favorite. Gokou has not seen his friends in several years, but Kamesennin is hosting a reunion party at his Kame House. Bulma arrives and Kamesennin makes some perverted comment about her and she bashes him in the head. Meanwhile Gokou is out on Kintoen searching for his son, Gohan. Gohan was out wandering in the woods. Somehow, he managed to fall off a cliff and grab hold of a limb sticking out from the side of the cliff. Gokou hears him and rescues him, then they start their journey towards Kamesennin's Kame House. Gokou arrives and everyone,(Everyone being Kamesennin, Bulma, and Kuririn), is happy to see him. They see Gohan and remark on Gokou babysitting at his age. Gokou tells them he's his son. Everyone gasps in surprise. As we find out here, Gohan is only four and he's very shy. He doesn't want to be a fighter because Chi-chi won't let him. He wants to be an orthopeidist, (wow exciting). Gohan turns around for a second to play with a crab and they notice a tail. Everyone gets real serious and ask him if Gohan's ever been out during a full moon. "No, we all go to bed pretty early. Why?". "Oh nothing! Heh Heh. Nothing at all!". Suddenly, Gokou feels a HUGE power coming toward them. He says it's a horrible power. Gokou's actually trembling. Kamesennin says he smells death in the air. An enourmous hulking man sets down on the ground infront of them. They talk for a little about stuff Gokou doesn't know about. He calls Gokou Kakkarot. "Why didn't you complete your mission Kakkarot!?" "What mission? Who are you?" Then the man gasps Kakkarot, what happened to your tail!? Gokou says he had it removed for good a long time ago. "Fool! Your true power is gone now! You can't transform! Kamesennin interrupts, "Gokou, there's something I have to tell you, a long time ago, your grandfather found you in the woods in an alien space pod. He took you to his home and tried to show you kindness but you wouldn't accept it. You were unusually strong for a baby and you hit, kicked and screamed at him, one day, you fell out of his basket and fell down a waterfall. You hit your head on a rock. Your grandfather retrieved you. Anyother baby would have died. You fully recovered and from that day on you were a happy loving baby. No one can believe this. Kuririn thinks the big man's nuts and he's about to "escort" him off the island, when the man slams Kuririn into the Kame House with ...... a tail! Gokou and Bulma gasp. The man laughs, "So you finally know the truth. Allow me to introduce myself! I'm Raditzu, your big brother!" Gokou tries to deny the fact, but he knows it's true. Raditzu explains about his kind, the Saiya-jin. They were a race of planet pirates. They found planets that would find a high price, then go off and kill everything on it to prepare it for it's new owners. Gokou was sent to destroy Earth since it was such a pitiful planet. Gokou's accident made him forget it all. Raditzu tries to get Gokou to join him and his two friends, but he refuses. No problem! Raditzu kicks Gokou in the stomach, HURTING him and sending him flying in the air. If Gokou won't join, Raditz will settle for his son! He gives Gokou twenty-four hours to kill one-hundred people and show him the bodies, or he takes his son. (Gee, why didn't we hear that in America!?) With that he flies off. Gokou eventually gets up. He's about to go after him, when he hears a voice above him. It's Piccolo!!!!!!! Piccolo still HATES Gokou, but he says he doesn't want that guy intereferring with his plans to take over the world. Gokou agrees to the treaty. Piccolo assures Gokou, that as soon as they destroy Raditzu, it'll be Gokou's turn. Gokou figures out how to follow Gohan, he was wearing a hat with a real Dragon Ball mounted on top. Gokou just borrows Bulma's Dragon Radar. The two fly off together, Earth's most unlikely matchup. Meanwhile, Raditzu arrives at the field where his ship landed. Gohan is screaming his brains out, calling for his mom and dad. Raditzu calls him a shit-brat, (he gets called that a lot), and stuffs him in his ship. Suddenly, Raditzu's scouter, the thing he wears on his eye that measures power levels, starts to go nuts. It reads a 710 power level coming from his ship, where Gohan is. Raditzu dissmisses the power reading as a mistake. Then, another reading comes up. Two power levels are fast approaching. One is power level 334, Gokou. The other is power level 322, Piccolo. When they land, Raditzu inquires how they found him so fast. Gokou doesn't say, he just wants to know where Gohan is. Raditzu won't tell him. Raditzu still tries to convince Gokou to join him, and they ramble on for a while. Piccolo is getting tired of talking. He just wants to kill Raditzu, then Gokou. He takes off his turban and mantle. They are weighted clothes. All together, I think they weighed around 100 lbs. His power level jumps up to 408. Gokou comments on the good idea and sheds his gear. His power jumps up to 416. They both go after Raditzu. The fight is fast and furiuos. They tear up the ground fighting Raditzu. They move lightning fast but Raditzu is still faster. They hit him with punches as fast as bullets, but Raditzu blocks them all. The two warriors leap back for a quick rest. Gokou again asks where Gohan is. Raditzu tells him he's in his ship. They go back to fighting. Raditzu leaps up into the air. The duo go after him. But, Raditzu charges up for a second and unleashes two huge blasts. One from each hand. Gokou barely dodges, Piccolo, however, is not so lucky. His left arm gets in the blast's path and is blown away. The two blasts continue right into the mountains in the background, completely destroying them. Piccolo falls and is bashed by Raditzu. Raditzu dissappears. Gokou can't figure out where he went. Raditzu appears right behind Gokou, "I'm here!". Boom! He smashes Gokou. Piccolo and Gokou are now side by side, looking like they've been through a war. Raditzu looks like he just got up in the morning. Gokou asks if Piccolo if he thinks he can still fight. Piccolo says he can. He also says he has a special attack he's been working on. Gokou asks if he thinks it will work. Piccolo says it should. Gokou again asks if he can do it with one arm. Piccolo says that's no problem. He just needs 5 minutes to gather all the energy. Gokou will have to fight alone against him. Gokou agrees and wishes Piccolo luck, as does Piccolo. Gokou makes some hand motions to prepare and then, dashes out to Raditzu. Meanwhile, Piccolo grimaces and raises his index and middle finger of his right hand to his forehead, and begins charging up. Gokou is actually connecting punches to Raditzu, but they do nothing to slow him down as Raditzu hits him to the side. Gokou leaps up and begins to charge up. Raditzu' power meter starts to skyrocket as Gokou raises to power level, 924. He looks over at Piccolo. His power level is now 1020. Gokou starts tp say his famous line. Energy is busting out of his hands as he begins, "KAME". Raditzu is now starting to get ticked. He realizes he underestimated them. "HAME". Raditzu is starting to worry, Piccolo's power is still increasing, as is Gokou's. Gokou is now ready. White light is almost completely surrounding him. "HA!!" The giant beam speeds towards Raditzu who trying to run from it, but it's too fast. He is now fuming. He stops in his tracks and puts his hands infront of him. KABOOM! The blast completes it's journey and creates an atom bomb size explosion. But, when the smoke clears, Raditzu is standing there in one piece. He is really pissed at Gokou. He decides to send up a present. "SHIRE!" (DIE!). Gokou gets hit by the energy ball and drops like a fly. Raditzu runs over to him and is about to kill him, when his scouter brings up a huge power, 1330. Piccolo is fully charged. Raditzu is stunned, but angry at the same time. He knows he can't block an attack that powerful. He yells at Piccolo and is going to drop him with a blast of his own, but Piccolo gets is ready and let fly. "Makkanosappo!" (Screw beam attack of the devil). The beam spins at the speed of light towards Raditzu. The beam hits. The beam continues past Raditzu and smashes into a mountain. Two ENOURMOUS explosions occur. When the dust settles, a huge round chunk was taken out of a mountain. Piccolo looks around, and to everyone's surprise, Raditzu is still alive. He dodged it at the last second. Only the tip of his shoulder armor is broken. Raddits comments on his aim being off. Piccolo is totally baffled and just stands there looking like he's seen a ghost. Raditzu says he's now going to kill him. He puts up his hand and gathers energy for and second, and charges. Piccolo stands there, gaurding himself, knowing it's the end. Raditzu is about to send the blast, when he stops dead in his tracks, a look of shear surprise on his face. Who's behind him? Gokou, and he's got Raditzu's tail. Gokou squeezes the tail and Raditzu falls to the ground. Gokou asks Piccolo if he can do the attack one more time. Piccolo says yes, but hold tight because it's going to be another 5 minutes. Raditzu's brain starts working and he starts pleading to his brother, "I'll change! I'll leave you alone! I'll tell the others you won't join!". This sickening display goes on for a while. Piccolo is screaming at Gokou, not to listen to him. Gokou, having a heart of gold, asks him if he promises to leave. Raditzu says yes. Piccolo screams at him, "SON GOKOU!". But Gokou falls for it and releases Raditzu's tail. Raditzu grins and kicks Gokou backwards. Piccolo groans about Gokou being too trusting, and know the planet's doomed. Raditzu is standing on top of Gokou, smashing his ribs. Raditzu asks Piccolo to try the attack again. He says he doesn't have time to charge up. So, Raditzu happily goes back to crushing Gokou. But wait! We forgot about somebody! Little Gohan! Gohan is in the ship crying for his mom and dad. He's quiet for a second and hears his father screaming in pain. Back to Gokou! Gokou is almost gone. Raditzu says he's no fun to play with and that this will be the final blow. "Say goodbye Kakkarot!". Suddenly, his scouter gets a huge power reading. Animals start to run and fly away from the bushes. Everything is absolutely silent, then, he looks over to his ship. The panels on the side start to pop off, then, the whole thing explodes, and Gohan leaps into the air looking like he's gonna kill the world. Piccolo is absolutely floored that the kid could do that. Raditzu looks at his scouter. Gohan is at power level, 1307! "Impossible for a kid!" Gokou yells at Gohan to escape. Gohan just stands there. Teeth are clenched as are his fists. He is totally pissed off at Raditzu. He growls, suddenly an aura starts to glow around him. He starts growling more. Then, he squints his eyes, tears steaming down them and SCREAMS at Raditzu, "YOU'RE HURTING MY DAD!!!!!, as he says this, bursts of steam and energy surround him. The entire area around him turns red. Then, Gohan launches himself staight at Raditzu. Raditzu is totally stunned and just stares as Gohan speeds toward him. "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!". Gohan smashes straight into Raditzu's stomach, shattering the armor around his chest. Raditzu falls back. Gohan simply loses the aura and plops on the ground. Gokou can't beleave what he just saw, "G..G..Gohan?". "Daddy!". Gokou yells at Gohan to run away, "But Daddy?", Raditzu recovers and measures Gohans level. Power rating 1. "Hey kid, what happened to all that power?!". Gohan has no idea what Raditzu is talking about. Raditzu gets mad at Gohan and bats him away like a rag doll. Gokou pleads Raditzu not to hurt him because he's just a boy. Raditzu corrects him, "A very powerful boy! He's stronger than you! He could live to be a problem!". Raditzu stands above Gohan, ready to waste him, but Gokou grabs Raditzu from behind. They scuff around a bit, but Raditzu can't get free because Gohan's attack weakened him. Gokou screams at Piccolo to do his attack. Piccolo is already charging. Raditzu tells Gokou, that if he holds him from behind, the blast will kill him too. At this point Gokou doesn't care. He just wants Raditzu dead. Piccolo is rather happy about these turn of events. Not only will Raditzu die, but so will Gokou. Gokou continues to struggle to hold Raditzu. (Keep in mind, this is the Japanese version, we never got the chance to see this full scene because of the stupid censors) Piccolo is finally ready. Raditzu wants to know if Gokou is really going to go through with this, "Yes!". Piccolo points his fingers at Raditzu's chest and yells, "MAKKANKOSAPPO!!!!!!!!!!" The screw beam hits it's target and drills straight through Raditzu and Gokou's chest. Then we see a front view of them. Each has a basketball sized hole in his chest, blood flies everywhere. Both hit the ground, still alive. Piccolo saunters over to Raditzu to gloat. He says that even Gokou will be alive in about a week while he rots. Raditzu asks how. Piccolo explains about the Dragon Balls. When he finishes the story, Raditzu laughs. He tells Piccolo that scouters are also communicators. His two Saiya-jin friends heard every word. They'll come here and kill everyone. Raditzu laughs, "And the funny thing is, they're MUCH stronger than me! Ha Ha Ha!", Piccolo gets ticked, sticks his hand infront of Raditzu's face and fires the final blow, but even in the Japanese version it's not shown, it's assumed he just shot air at his head. Gokou's friends arrive at the scene. They get there in time for him to utter a few final words to them. He tells them to take care of Gohan and Chi-chi. Also, wish him back with the Dragon Balls as soon as possible. Kurririn promises to do what he asked. Then, the Earth's greatest warrior, dies. Gokou vs Nappa! This fight is a total joke! Nappa's not even in tthe same league as Gokou! It's not even funny! Gokou arrives on the battle field JUST in time to save Gohan from being crushed by Nappa. Nappa laughs at Gokou. He says his power can't possibly be 5,000. He was born weak, you can't get stronger as you get older. Wrong. Gokou looks around and sees his dead comrades Piccolo, Yamucha, and Tien. Nappa laughs and tells him about the other little guy that went Kamikaze to try blow him up. Gokou is thoughrolly pissed. He walks up to Nappa very slowly, Nappa laughs at him, "What are YOU gonna do?". Gokou just slowly works his way forward. Finally, when Gokou's no more than 2 feet away from him Nappa yells, "This one's for you!". His punch is faster than lightning, but it only succeeds in connecting with air. Gokou is over with Kurririn and Gohan. Nappa is totally stunned. Gokou gives both of them half of a senzu bean that Karin gave him. They want to fight with him, but Gokou refuses to let them. Kurririn is stunned, "Just because you were taught by Kaiousamma doesn't mean you can beat them. If we work together, we might be able to at least defeat Nappa.". Gokou ignores the comment and looks over at Nappa his energy starts to rise. Kurririn tells Gohan to back off because he never saw Gokou this mad. Gokou walks over to Nappa and stands a few yards away from him. He screams and starts to power up. His energy level skyrockets. Vegita has his scouter on and he's measuring the power level. 6,000 7,000 8,000!!!!! Vegita can't believe it. He breaks his scouter. Nappa can't believe it either. Gokou gloats, "Don't worry, I won't use Kaiouken yet." Nappa dashes at him, "SHUT THE @#%* UP! You're not even worthy to be in my presence, let alone fight me! Nappa puches, but doesn't even finish the punch when Gokou dashes behind him and kicks him in the neck, knocking him on the ground. Nappa curses him, "You son-of-a-@#%*! How'd you get behind me! Gokou says Nappa's only good at talking. Nappa is totally blown over the edge of rage now and powers up. "TAKE THIS". He rushes Gokou with hundreds of punches and kicks a second. Gokou doesn't even break a sweat. Vegita can't figure out how Kakaroto improved SO much in one year. Now it's Gokou's turn to attack. He runs straight at Nappa, then he dissappears. Then reappears right on top of Nappa's head. Nappa tries to crush him between his hands but, Gokou dashes down. He pulls back his hand, and smashes his fist, a foot into Nappa's gut. Nappa didn't even know what happened, he just stared staight ahead trying to get a gasp of air. After the surprise left, he grasped his stomach in pain. Nappa can't stand this. Gokou just stands there, totally fine, looking like he just had a cold drink. Nappa powers up and fires a blast at Gokou. Gokou takes the blast full force and he's not one bit phased. Nappa's eye's bug out of his head. He powers up for another attack, Gokou gets to him first. He gives him an overhead smash. Then he follows up by kicking him into a rock formation. Nappa get's up and he's totally nuts. He throws a rock at Gokou that he easily dodges. Nappa refuses to believe that Gokou's stronger than him. Nappa powers up and he looks like a bison with human head. He's huge. He raises his finger tips, which causes a huge explosion. Gokou's already far away. Nappa goes after him, and tries a flurry of punches and kicks that Gokou dodges with no trouble. Nappa must now resort to his Chou Attack. He opens his mouth and lets out a white blast. Gokou counters it with a normal ki (energy) blast. Vegita is ticked off at Nappa. He tells him to come down, he's embarrased him enough. Nappa gloats about how Vegita's gonna desroy Gokou. As he comes down, he sees Kurririn and Gohan. He decides to avenge his loss by killing them with his Chou Attack. Gokou sees this but he's too far away, so he must resort to Kaiouken. He speeds up and is on Nappa in an instant. He bashes Nappa's back, then waits for his falling body to hit the ground, he puts his hands up and Nappa's back lands on them, I assume his back is now broken. He throws Nappa's broken body over to Vegita. Vegita gives Nappa his hand to help him up. Nappa smiles. Yeah, he helps Nappa up allright, he throws Nappa into the sky, he powers up and launches a blast at him, "SHIRE!!!!!" Gokou VS Artificial Human 19 After meeting with the Artificial Humans on the island Trunks said they would appear on, Gokou tells the Artificial Humans to follow them to a place where their fight would have no interruptions. The androids agree and they fly off with Gokou, Piccolo and Tenshinhan. Kuririn stays behind and takes Yamucha to a nearby cliff where Buruma, Gohan and Yajirobe are. You see, Yamucha was the first to discover the androids and Number 20 wasted no time in showing his superiority by grabbing Yamucha by the head and punching his fist through Yamucha's torso. (I hope you're still with me, this is all very hard to put in writing.). So anyway, after Yamucha gets his senzu, he's fine of course but he doesn't want to go with Gohan and Kuririn to meet up with Gokou and the others. He's too terrified by the power of the androids. But after about a minute he gets angry at himself for being cowardly and follows Kuririn and Gohan. Okay, so lets review. Here's the entire day's events so far in short. Gokou, Yamucha, Tenshinhan, Piccolo, Gohan, Buruma and Yajirobe met up on a mountain at 9 O'clock in the morning after three years of hard training. Yajirobe gives the group a bag of senzu, then takes off in his air car. But he doesn't get far. His car is shot down into the water. It's the work of the androids. Gokou and gang try to sense the android's ki, but they can't. The android's ki is undetectable. So they all fly off into the streets of the busy island city in search of their enemies. Gohan is told to remain behind on the mountain. Hearing some screams from the android's first victims, Yamucha rounds a street corner and the androids sneak up behind him. Number 20 grabs Yamucha and puts his fist through Yamucha's body. Gokou and the other sense a disturbance and fly to the source. They find themselves face to face with the androids. Number 20 shoots an eye beam attack at Gokou. Gokou dodges the beam, but it continues beyond him and destroys most of the city. Gokou gets ticked and throws a quick punch letting Number 20 know he wants him to stop. Number 20 is pushed back a step by the punch, but there's no damage of any degree. Gokou then asks them to fight in a place with no distractions, (ie. People, buildings, living organisms that could be harmed.). Number 20 agrees as he and Number 19 follow Gokou, Tenshinhan and Piccolo to a plain located on the nearby island. Meanwhile Kuririn takes Yamucha back to where Gohan, Buruma and Yajirobe are. He gives him a senzu, and Yamucha's back in shape. Kuririn and Gohan then leave to catch up with Gokou and the rest. Yamucha contemplates going with them, then eventually his pride gets the best of him, and ends up following them. Whew! Did you get that? I sure hope so. Because the fight is about to begin. Gokou wastes no time in telling Number 20 that he forgot the most important skill of a Saiya-jin, being able to turn Super Saiya-jin. He immediatley turns Super Saiya-jin with the now typical fanfare, (scream, wind, big ki, etc.). Number 20 is hardly impressed by Gokou's transformation, "It's true that you've powered up quite a bit, but you're still no match for us. Number 19 or I alone could defeat you.". Gokou smirks, "Is that so? Well let's see just how strong you are.". Gokou rushes Number 19. The android tries to grab his head, but he gets nothing but air. Gokou's already behind him. However, not being easily tricked, 19 instinctively kicks behind him, but Gokou blocks it. 19 suddenly launches a furious barrage of punches and kicks all of which Gokou counters effectively and skillfuly. 19 stops for a second and hops backwards several yards then leaps into the air, his face covered with a smile the entire time. Gokou follows his movements. 19 suddenly dips down behind a nearby mountain and from his position, fires a blast straight up at Gokou. Gokou shields himself with his hands, leaving himself blinded. 19 aniticipated this and rears back to deliver another energy blast at him. Gokou dodges by doing graceful backflips through the air, and heads straight for 19 again. 19 retreats to the ground while Gokou dances from side to side on his descent, anticipating any further attacks, until he finally lands on the ground, only to dissapear again when 19 tries to punch him but, once again, only succeeds punching air. Gokou appears with his back to 19's and elbows him in the kidney. 19 cries out in agony as he's sent flying into a small rock formation, (funny how he can feel pain seeing as he's an artificial human). Number 20's eye's practically pop out of their sockets as he watches Gokou toy with his comrade. 19 cooly pulls himself out of the rubble and hurls himself head-first at Gokou. The Saiya-jin just puts out one hand and stops him in mid-flight. 19 looks up confused, but doesn't have long to savour his surprise as Gokou punts him staright into the sky. Gokou appears behind 19, but not being a simple-minded fighter, 19 instantly turns around and greets Gokou with a volley of punches, and of course, Gokou dodges all of them., but this time, his features give away that he's distracted by something. Finally, Gokou finds an opening and uppercuts 19, then follows it up with a sharp kick to the Artificial Human's stomach. 19 lets his anger get the best of him and charges Gokou blindly, but Son grabs 19's apendages and elbows him in the face. Meanwhile, Tenshinhan "oohs and ahhs" Gokou's performance, but Piccolo can tell that something is not quite right with Gokou. Finally, the battle reaches a short break and it ends with Gokou breathing heavily. He's exhausted, although he tries not to show it. 19 just stares at him, not moving a muscle. Gokou makes the first move and rushes 19 with a series of slow, but powerful physical assaults; hitting the android in the chin with his knee, a round-house to its face, then letting fly with several fast blows to the face and chest. 19 screams in anger and then becomes offensive, forcing Gokou to dodge again. This time, Gokou is barely missing 19's punches, but of course, he finds another opening and uppercuts 19, then slams his fist deep into 19's stomach. Number 19 doubles over, giving Gokou plenty of time to carry out a punishing overhead smash to 19's jaw. Number 20 glares at Gokou and thinks to himself, "He's far more powerful than we expected. This is impossible! This is dangerous! Number 19 is going to run of of energy before he can steal Son Gokou's!". At that same time, Kuririn, Gohan and Yamucha land next to Tenshinhan and Piccolo. Tenshinhan reassures Gohan that his father is doing an excellent job. Gokou continues to deliver blow after blow to 19, but Piccolo and Gohan both notice something is not quite right with Gokou. Piccolo inquires, "Why is he stretching this fight out? He was was fighting at full power before, now he's not using much power at all". Tenshinhan points out that Gokou IS winning. But Piccolo rejects the statement, "He should be much stronger than even this.". Gohan suggests that maybe they're draining Gokou's energy. Yamucha supports the theory by relating how Number 20 sucked out his energy when he held his hand over his mouth. Their discussion is interrupted when Gokou kicks 19 into the ground. Kuririn shouts out, "He did it!". But of course that was a premature statement, seeing as 19 rises from the dust moments later. His clothes are a bit tattered, but otherwise, he looks to be in fine shape. Gokou on the other hand is another story. He's almost completely spent. His body heaves with each breath he takes in. Gokou looks down into 19's unwavered eyes and gets angry, "Shit!". He cups his hands together and forms a Kame Hame Ha. He charges for a moment, and then releases it at full power. 19's face lights up like a child on Christmas morning. He sticks his hand out triumphantly and sniles gleefully. The blast lands on top of him, and he dissapears for a second, but it can then clearly be seen that he's sucking the Kame Hame Ha into his body from the red ball on the palm of his hand. After it's all inside of him, he lets out a pleasant sigh. Gohan, Kuririn, Tenshinhan and Yamucha are absolutely flabbergastered by what they just witnessed. Gokou can't even do anythng but hover in the air and breath heavily. Yamucha comes up with a stunning observation, "They steal energy through their hands!". I think Yamucha deserves the genius of the century award for coming to that amazing conclusion. Let's all give him a round of applause. Piccolo yells a warning to Son, telling him not to shoot energy blasts at 19. Gokou just barely gets out, "They can absorb ki?", he laughs, "Thats not funny.". Number 20 barks out, commanding Number 19 to take this chance to attack since he's received frsh new energy. 19 obeys and flies up to Gokou. Gokou barely misses a punch he throws. Gokou connects with a punch to 19's face, but the Artificial Human just smiles evily. He knees Gokou in the stomach, Gokou retaliates by elbowing him in the face, but it has no effect. 19 slaps Gokou aside, drawing blood from his mouth. Number 19 slams Gokou in the chest, sending him hurtling towards the ground, but Gokou stops himself before he hits. On instinct, Gokou fires a ki blast, but Piccolo repremands him, and he quickly disolves it. Son curses, "Damn it.". Finally, he floats down the ground and grabs his chest in pain. Once again, Yamucha the genius points out, "Hey, he doesn't look so good.". Finally, Gohan puts it all together and realizes what's going on. His father is finally suffering the symptoms of the viral heart disease he received on planet Yardratt. Everyone is shocked. They were under the assupmtion that it had already been done away with in the three years during their training, but obviously, they were dead wrong. Gokou falls on his knees and grips his chest while grimacing. He can barely lift his head up. Kuririn hurls a senzu at Gokou hoping that it might alleviate the condition, but it's to no avail, like Trunks said, even the senzu beans can't cure it. While Gokou's munching on the bean, 19 fires eye beams at him. Gokou avoids the explosion by flying straight up, but 19 appears right in front of him gives Gokou a sock in the jaw, and he doesn't stop there. He pounds Gokou's back, then knees him in the stomach and finishes by slamming Gokou into the ground far below them. Before he even has time to stand up again, 19 charges into him head-first, then tunnels underground and shoots up underneath Gokou sending him back into the sky. 19 attacks Gokou violently from all angles then punches him about one hundred yards back. 19 materializes behind Gokou to deliver the final blow. He kicks him in the back letting his opponent hit the ground hard. He lands near Gokou's crash landing, his face covered in a grin. Gokou's body flashes for an instant, and he returns to his normal state. He can now barely move his head around. 19 flips around in the air and lands, sitting on Gokou's stomach. He pins Son's hands down with his feet and pushes down on them repeatedly for good measure. Gokou's face twists in pain. 19 holds his hand over Gokou's face, his victim's pained features are reflected in the red energy absorbing ball on the palm of his hand. The android grips Gokou's throat and begins to suck out his precious ki energy. Gokou frees his hands and tries to pry of 19's vice-like grip, but it's no use. He's not even in the shape to, "pick his own nose", let alone be fighting for the future of earth. 19 looks over at the Z Soldiers and smiles demonically while the stolen ki circles around him. They all fly over to help Gokou, (gee, that seems like a pretty good idea seeing as how he's suffering from a heart attack!), but 20 appears in front of them, warning them to stay out of the fight, "Unless you want to test me.". Piccolo takes up the challenge but 20 just sends eye beams to his stomach, downing him in an instant. 20 gloats, "You can't call what he did bravery, that was just being a reckless fool.". Meanwhile, 19 continues to suck energy out of Gokou. Eventually, Gokou begins to feel the effects of the drain and his hands slowly fall off of 19's. He begins to lose concioussness and just as he's about done for, a foot comes out of nowhere and knocks the smile off of 19's fat face. The Prince of the Saiya-jin has arrived! "It's my job to defeat Kakarroto. This is not a task you puppets should take on.". While everyone is busy amazed at Vegita's arrival, Piccolo rises to his feet, unscathed, "Damnnit. Vegita, you're getting in my way. I pretended to fight poorly so I could catch them off-guard and save Gokou.". Gohan inquires how Piccolo resisted the powerfukl attack and he responds, "No matter how powerful these fools are, a weak attack like that would never hurt me.". On the battlefield, Vegita repremands Gokou, "I saw everything. You idiot, you knew your body was damaged, yet you still turned into a Super Saiya-jin. Doing that will just make your disease all the more worse. My final target is you alone Kakarroto!". With that Vegita kicks Gokou aside right into Piccolo's waiting hand. After some more bantering, Yamucha is assigned to take Gokou back to his house so he can get the medicine. And with that said, Gokou's battle with Jinzouningen 19 comes to an end. But don't worry, Vegita eventually takes out 19 with a couple new tricks he's learned over the past three years, like the ability to become a Super Saiya-jin! Gokou VS Developed Form Cell First things first, I'm really not a big fan of the Cell Saga, and to be perfectly honest, I have no idea why. It has an amazing plot, only surpassed by the myriad of twists and turns found in the Buu Saga. The fights are darn good, and as a villain, Cell is cool, not to mention the fact that his ruthlessness is carried out in almost a child-like fashion. He's so violent, but at the same time, while he's devouring entire towns worth of people, he remains calm and composed, (unlike Freeza who laughs his butt off when he so much as crushes a fly), which is a very cool attitude for a villain. So why don't I like it? I guess the answer might have to be the atmosphere during the saga. It's very bland, and even though it was intended to be, it sort of ruins the scenery which was present during the Freeza Saga, (what with the green sky containing multiple suns and the blue-green foliage). It's just kind of......"blah!". And as for the anime, the animation in some episodes is very weak. Don't get me wrong, in some episodes, the animation will be detailed and fluid, while in others, the characters look like stick figures with color. I suppose it could also be due to the fact that a LOT of time gets wasted during this fight, just to elongate it. Characters will stare at each other for absurd amounts of time, while minor characters chatter in the background and restate things that we already know about seven thousand times. Don't get me wrong, I love tension build up, but not to the point where one is forced to get up out of ones chair and scream at cartoon characters, telling them to, "F#$@*&$ DO SOMETHING ALREADY!!!!". So call me what you will, but the Cell Saga doesn't really float my boat. Just thought I'd let you know ahead of time. If you REALLY want to enjoy it, stick to the manga for this part and you won't be dissapointed. Also, due to the fact that the saga is SO complex, I'll be delving directly into the fight with no setup. It's something that would best be covered in Cell's Biography. With that said and done, ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, let's get ready to rumble! The entire world watches as the greatest hero known to mankind steps up onto the stage to face off against Cell. The hero is Earth's best and last hope against the menace known as Cell. The hero posseses previously unseen power and courage. This hero is none other than the World Champion himself, Mister Satan! The martial arts master takes a deep breath and attacks Cell with his "devastating" flying attack, the Dynamite Kick. Cell doesn't move. Mr. Satan takes a deep breath and attacks Cell with a furious series of punches and kicks directed at the villain's face and stomach. Cell doesn't move. Mr. Satan takes a breather and starts in again. The announcer becomes excited, "Cell is so overwhelemed by these fast and powerful attacks, that he can't even move to defend himself! You're amazing Mr. Satan!". Mr. Satan takes a step back and laughs at Cell. Cell doesn't move. Finally Mr. Satan moves in for a "finishing punch". Cell moves. He effortlessly smacks Satan away sending him careening into a moutain in the background. Needless to say, "Ring Out!". But now the real fun begins when a true competitor steps into the ring, Son Gokou. Gokou walks to the center of the arena, staring Cell straight in the eye the entire time. The two stare at each other for an unbearable amount of time while other characters on the side-lines make various pointless remarks that we've already heard a thousand times before ex. "Do you think Gokou can do it?", "Show me how strong you are Kakarotto.". After about a minute and a half of this, Cell finally uncrosses his arms, (the most movement he's made since before Satan stepped into the ring), and cracks his knuckles, "Should we really start off with you? I wanted to save fighting the best for last, and have you as my last opponent.". Gokou ignores him and just asks Cell if he really can use majority of the Z-Soldiers' attacks. Cell says he can. Gokou crouches into his fighting stance, and the scene dramatically shifts to another "waste of time moment", Mr. Satan. He stumbles back to the TV Announcer and explains that he flew several hundred feet through the air because he, slippped........riiiiight. Mr. Satan brags for quite a long time, and it really gets on your nerves because lets be honest, all we really want to see right now is Gokou fighting Cell. After that, the TV producers obviously wanted to torture us even more because they switch over to Trunks and give him a monologue, "Finally, the reason why Gokou has seemed so relaxed these past few days will finally be revealed.". Then the camera switches back to Cell and Gokou staring at each other, and JUST when it seems they might move a centimeter, it switches back to the TV Announcer who tells the people of Earth not to worry, because Mr. Satan only tripped and fell out of the ring, so he'll be fighting again. *Personal Note* (You really have no idea how absurd this is. The two have been staring at each other so long, that if it was real life, their eyeballs would have shriveled into little white and black prunes by now). And just when you think things could not get any more boring, the animators must have thought it would be really cool if every Z-Soldier repeated everything they said before, because that's basically what happens. And then of course it goes back to Mr. Satan and the TV Announcer talking.....yet again. However, the wait is over my friends! Just as Mr. Satan is telling the Announcer how he could, "....Easily defeat that annonymous competitor (Gokou) in two seconds.", when Cell smiles and quietly says, "Come on.". Before Cell finishes speaking Gokou is already flying towards him. He tries to kick Cell in the head, but it's easily blocked. He resorts to a punch, but Cell grabs his fist. Cell tries to attack with his free hand, but Gokou ducks, jumps clear then tries a round-house. Cell slides under it M. Bison style, (or Vega if you're a Japanese Street Fighter aficionado), and tries to sweep out Gokou's legs, which Gokou skillfully avoids, then backflips across the arena and suddenly dissapears. Cell stands perfectly still then quickly ducks, just barely avoiding a kick. Son follows up with an elbow attack, but Cell grabs it hurls him across the arena. Gokou lands gracefully and launches himself back towards Cell. When he reaches his opponent, he throws a variety of fast punches, all of which Cell blocks with relative ease. Cell decks Gokou, but on his way down, Gokou sticks out his foot and kicks Cell in the face. The two flip backwards, regain their balance and stare at each other, (again), smiling happily. All of this transpires in about 30 seconds. Mr. Satan and the TV Announcer's jaws drop practically to the ground. And in the first "watse of time moment" that's actually funny, Mr. Satan's pupil's jaws drop to the ground and they create a chord. Artificial Human 16 comments that Cell and Gokou are evenly matched. Yamucha notices that neither party seems tired. The TV Announcer speaks into microphone, astonished and embarrassed, "T...the anonymous cmpetitor is....p...pretty good.". He asks Mr. Satan for a comment, but Mr. Satan just can't stop staring in amazement. Finally he snaps out of it, "Oh uh, yeah yeah, he's pretty good. Better than expected. But uh, I can tell he's doing his absolute best right now. That's his limit. He can't do any better than that! HA HA HA". BAM! His commentary is interrupted by a blocked hit from Cell to Gokou. The two are butting heads again. Cell rushes Gokou and punches, but misses as Gokou leaps into the sky. At the peak of his jump, Gokou dissapears. Satan and the Announcer look around, but can't see him anywhere. Meanwhile, Cell remains calm. He stands up straight and moves his arms around in a fluid succession blocking punches from a seemingly invisible opponent. Finally, Cell sticks out his left foot at seemingly nothing, but he connects with a blurring mass which ends up being Gokou. Son stops for a minute after catching his balance, smiles at Cell and rushes the villain full-speed. He pulls back his fist, prepares to punch Cell, then literally passes straight through Cell. Cell falls for the trick and loses sight of Gokou. Despite the fact that he remains in a defensive position, the real Gokou slams into his chest seconds later and knocks him to the edge of the arena. Gokou jumps up and delivers a kick to Cell's face, knocking him out of the ring. Naturally, a ring-out would mean victory, but come on folks, we're just getting warmed up here! Cell stops himself from falling inches before he hits the ground and floats up like Dracula rising out of his coffin, (it looks pretty cool), then talks to Gokou, "How about it? Did you feel the joy of victory for an instant?". "Don't pretend Cell. I know you won't lose with us fighting like this.". Cell floats over to Gokou, "Well, you didn't do your best, I want to face you evenly.". "Yeah, I know you weren't doing your best as well.". Cell flexes his arms, "Very soon I'll show what a huge difference there really is between us.". "I'll be looking forward to it". "Son Gokou, you seem to enjoy fighting. Perhaps since you're a Saiya-jin, a fighting race.". "Well, so are you.". Cell laughs, "Well, that would depend on who I'm fighting". "It's the same with me.". Cell walks a few steps, then lunges and slashes at Gokou. Son ducks and tries to sweep Cell's legs out from under him, but Cell dissapears. Gokou follows suit. The Z-Soldiers watch the two fighting at light-speed, (something impossible to the un-trained eye), while Satan, the Announcer and Satan's pupils look around in confusion, "They vanished again!". Gokou and Cell phase in and out across the ring, only showing up for a a second or less. Neither seems to have much luck near the ground so Cell takes it into the air. They continue to exchange blows, countering each other perfectly. Meanwhile, down below, Mr. Satan suggests that both fighters haven't dissapeared, they're merely using camouflage. I don't know what's sorrier. The fact that Satan would use such a dumb excuse, or that the TV Announcer actually buys it. Elsewhere, the Z-Soldiers all seem pretty impressed by the speed Cell and Gokou are exhibiting, except for Vegita, of course, he blows it off, "Heh, this is all Gokou can do?". But he's interrupted, when Cell and Gokou break up the little chit-chat party by taking their fight outside the arena and inbetween the Z-Soldiers. The two end up grappling in mid-air. They hold their positions until Gokou makes a move and falls backwards, then bringing his legs in he kicks Cell in the stomach. He appears behind Cell and elbows him in the spine, sending the over-sized cockroach headed straight for the ring floor, but Cell quickly regains control of his movement. Gokou curses and goes after Cell to finish the job. They crash into the center of the ring together and instantly start attacking each other again. Cell grabs Gokou's clenched fist. Son tries to attack with his free hand, but Cell blocks it. The force of Gokou's punch is so great, that a shockwave travels out beyond Cell. Cell releases Gokou hand and tries to return the gift, but Gokou blocks with his forearm. Cell tries to get in a kick and punch combo, but he misses, turns around and tries again where Gokou is already blocking his attack. Even though Gokou is effectively blocking Cell's powerhouse punches, he's slowly being pushed towards the edge of the ring. Finally, Gokou reaches the edge. Cell pulls back his arm for the final blow, but the Saiya-jin is already gone by the time he follows through. Cell just holds his position for a second and smiles, then stands up straight. Gokou can clearly be seen all the way on the other side of the arena behind him. "Oh, that trick again.". Cell whips around and literaly flies straight into Gokou who gets knocked down by the attack. But Gokou uses his position to kick Cell in the stomach again. Gokou follows him and prepares a REAL attack. "KAAAA....MEEEEE......HAAA....MEEEE.......(wait for it)....HAAA! Cell patiently waits for the beam to reach him, then pushes it aside with one hand. Cell smirks. Wrong move retard, you dropped your guard. Gokou materializes behind him and nails him in the kidney region, (if Cell has any). Cell falters a bit and for the first time grimaces in real pain. His face, for the first time, is masked with malice as he whips around and decks Gokou HARD in the face sending out a satisfying spray of blood and sending Gokou hurtling backwards. He zooms over to Gokou and then deals him a crushing over-head smash. Gokou gains control of himself, but barely in time. He hits the ring floor and causes the tiles beneath him to shatter. He gets up and smiles. Cell lands and then smiles, (Y'know, these guys sure like smiling). Cell happily announces, "This concludes my warm-up.". Gokou agrees. Satan and the Announcer are speechless, "THAT was just a warm-up??". Kuririn stutters, "Now begins the real fight!". Thank you oh great stater of the obvious for including us on that great secret which I'm sure no descendant of the Australopithicus family that walks on two legs, breathes Oxygen and eats food for sustenance would have ever possibly been able to realize without your revealing it to us. We are all in your debt, and have effectively lost brains cells for having listened to such an obvious remark being stated as if it were as important as the world reaching the final sign of the apocalypse. We are all dumber now thanks to you. In the arena, Gokou crosses his hands in front of his face, and begins his power-up. Things are about to get interesting.
