Jive recording artist Mystikal is scheduled to drop his fifth album Tarantula on December 18, 2001. Tarantula is the follow up to Mystikal’s double platinum effort "Let’s Get Ready." The first single "Bouncin’ Back (Bumpin’ Me Against The Wall) was produced by hit making team The Neptunes, who are also responsible for Mystikal’s previous hits "Shake Ya A$$" and "Danger."
The new album features productions by Rockwilder, Wild Life and Scott Storch amongst others, and guest appearances by several rap stars including Juvenile, Redman and Method Man.
Mystikal started his career as a rapper back in the 80’s. Although his unique rapping skills made him a cult artist in the underground world since the beginning, it was the last album to catapult him on to a higher level of success. Songs like "Shake Ya Ass" and "Danger" were amongst the most played songs at radio throughout the year and the videos were on heavy rotation on MTV, BET and Much Music.
"Let’s Get Ready" earned Mystikal a Soul
Train Award, as well as a Grammy Nomination. He was seen on several TV shows,
including memorable performances at last year’s Billboard Awards and the Soul
Train Awards. Mystikal was also a guest on: Showtime At The Apollo, MTV’s
DFX, BET’s 106 & Park, Ricky Lake, and Jenny Jones amongst others.
