Foremost among the many legacies that Tupac Shakur left behind is the group he nurtured and affectionately referred to as "the lil’ homies," the Outlawz. 2Pac’s influence is apparent and alive in the Outlawz who actually were spawned from him and rode with him through the good and the bad until that fatal day in September 1996. The Outlawz all hail originally from either New York or New Jersey areas, but have traveled extensively throughout the United States garnering much love and respect from coast to coast. Young Noble, E.D.I., Kastro and Napolean, the Outlawz, are perhaps the most slept on, while being the most well known group of MC’s in rap today. They first came onto the music scene in 1995. Back then they were known as Dramacydal and were featured on the single "Outlaw" from 2Pac’s album Me Against The World. They continued to make a mark, guaranteeing them a place in hip-hop history as Pac’s protégés. Having been featured on the majority of 2Pac’s albums, such classic hits as "Hail Mary," and "Hit Em’ Up," the Outlawz had a hand in the selling of over 20 million albums worldwide. They are heavily represented on the latest 2Pac album Until the End of Time. As 2Pac’s protégés and artists, the group signed with Death Row Records in 1997, where they recorded an untitled album that was never released. After a stagnant three years and with the CEO & President of their label incarcerated, they sought legal action and applied for a temporary injunction, which released them from all ties to Death Row Records. Through this injunction the Outlawz released their debut CD Ride Wit Us or Collide Wit Us on their independent effort Outlaw Recordz in November, 2000. Novakane, the groups sophomore joint being released exactly one year to the day of their debut album, contains the hit single "World Wide Mob Figgaz" featuring 2Pac. Originally released on Until the End of Time, the song has been totally re-mixed and is a smash! The video directed by J. Jesse Smith (Eric Sermon video, "Music") features actual footage of 2Pac. Their second single will be the ballad "History" featuring Seal.
