Arjay, alias "Eddie Cane", is a 22 year old Southern California resident who has spent most of his life singing. He is a fan- tastic writer/composer who shows his gritty vocal content, and counters with beautiful ballads which are bound to touch your heart. Bouncing around from city to city for as long as he could remember, Arjay has kept it real and true to himself and his music. Some of this album, in fact was created and recorded in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a product of what some may call a "mixed" family. They were all Black - don't get me wrong, but half of his family were pimps, playas, and hustlas, while the other half were strong church goers. That would explain why his singing voice and his lyrical content seem to conflict so much to some listeners. "He has a voice of an angel, but he is such a lil devil by what he is saying", is one of the phrases I have heard on more than one occassion.
"Eddie Cane" may not be for everyone, but when you think about it, what hip hop act is? This is Urban Contemporary "rhythm hip hop" at it's finest. Dip to it in the ride with the homies, or cool out with your lady while it plays in the background. Whichever, WHEREVER, Eddie Cane is the MUST have CD for whatever you are wanting to get into.
