Biography
Ja rule was born to the name of Jeff Atkins on Feb. 29, 1976. Now at the age of 24 with two multi platinum records he is arguably one of the most popular rappers in the game today. He spent years on the underground working with the Cash money click (not the cash money millionaires from new Orleans) he finally made his breakthrough performance in 1998 in Jay-Z's club banger "Can I get a ..." This turned Ja Rule into an immediate star. He followed it up with his own solo album Venni, Vetti Vecci, which when translated means "he came, he saw, he conquered". The album went platinum almost instantly, with the first single "Holla, Holla" being a smash hit. In 2000 Ja released his sophomore project which featured the very popular Between Me And You - (featuring Christina Milan), Put It On Me - (featuring Vita), and I Cry - (featuring Lil' Mo). This album two went platinum solidifying Ja Rule place as one of the top stars in the game.
